Haerin hated articles being written about her, like even the smallest newspapers can find out Haerin's past from 12 years ago if they wanted to. She also very much hated being in the spotlight, she always felt like she dimmed the lights of her fellow members, which was another one of her overwhelming feelings.
"Girl, I know you're back in the industry but we haven't had time to hang out" Chaeyon said. Haerin was still unpacking back into her dorm room. This time, they made her share a room with Ni-ki.
She always thought of Ni-ki as her older brother kinda, I mean she had to despite being only months apart, 4 months to be exact. But also, they were both from Japan, same hometown even. Osaka. Ni-ki and Haerin are very close, in terms of family friends. Haerins mom owns this supply store and next door was Ni-ki's house. They were always bickering around while Ni-ki and Haerin were playing in the sand or right outside the house.

I wasn't surprised to see that comment, I kind of saw it coming. And the many more I got didn't affect a lot. I showed these comments to my manager, she said she would solve the issue.
8pm I wasn't doing anything after dinner, plus I basically had nothing to do because I had finished the kdrama I was watching. I changed into comfy clothes and just sat in the living room while scrolling through my phone, mostly those comments and deleting them. As I put my phone down to the side, I got a text from the one and only.

Haerin: I could really use a detox😔

I had put my phone in my pocket and watched as Ni-ki waved outside the glass door. I immediately stood up with a smile and signalled for him to come in. "I never thought a walk meant in the lounge?" He said with a cheeky smile.
"Don't worry, I'm just getting my shoes that somehow ended up under the couch?" I said while bending over the get my shoes. As I stood up I noticed that my hair was messy but I couldn't be bothered to fix it. He waited for me to put on my shoes. I finished and sighed. "Let's go!" I said while gasping for air.
outside the building Ni-ki and I left through the back door to avoid obsessive fans and articles coming out about us, I can't afford to have my life ruined again. I can't afford to take another hiatus, like actually.
I was ranting on and on about this whole OT7 situation and how the company hasn't really done anything about it recently. I could tell Ni-ki's ears were ringing from my voice. "You done?" He said in a way that sounded like he was irritated but didn't wanna show it. "Oh yeah, sorry" I said while fixing my hoodie. I then heard my phone buzz with a notification from my older brother, the one and only Choi Soobin.
annoying brother: I'm leaving for the states tomorrow, come say goodbye 👋 - was the notification
Haerin: when? I'm out now, I should be back by 8:30pm
annoying brother: who you with?
Haerin: just Ni-ki, he took me on a walk to detox
annoying brother: that's fine, just come before 10pm, promise?
Haerin: promise😁
"Who you texting?" He asked with a curious smile. He towered over my phone to see who I was texting. "Oppa~!" He sings. I hit his shoulder signalling for him to stop. "We're out in public Ni-ki." I said while looking playfully annoyed. After our walk we walked back to the dorm. Ni-ki and Jake walked into the shower room. There is more than one shower in there. I always shower with the girl groups, for obvious reasons.
This particular day I was tired as hell, despite staying at home the whole time, that walk back to the dorms was long. Like I was walking around a soccer field.
8:45pm I made my way over to Soobin's dorm and knocked on his door. He shares a room with Kai and Taehyun. All I heard when I walked in was screaming and shouting, they were like cats and dogs fighting. "Ah, I forgot I invited you over" he said looking tired.
"YAAH!" He shouts back at the two in the back. They freeze and slowly turn to Soobin both running to their rooms. I followed Soobin back to his room which looked a sandstorm had passed through his room, there was literal sand in his room. "Don't mind the mess" he said scratching the back of his head.
"How long are you going there for?" I asked him. "I think a week or two" he said. "We have concerts in 5 major cities" he said looking very fatigued. "Well I just came to bye" I said looking at the pile of clothes on the floor. He did a thumbs up and continued packing. "Enjoy!" I shouted closing the door behind me.
I got back to my room to find them hosting a karaoke. I smiled very faintly to them and then walked to my room. I then heard a knock on my door. "Hey sad face, come join us" Heeseung said. I nodded slightly then stood up from my bed and walked over the couch. "Look who I brought!" He exclaimed. They started cheering and played my favourite.
