Hyunjin POV

It's been a while since I last closed the café, as for the past few weeks I've opened every single morning. Because of that, today I only came to work at two o'clock. As the hours went by, I was shocked to see how much easier the afternoon shifts are compared to the morning ones. The rush hours were over, and our kitchen was already closed, making serving easier. As time passed, it was just me, Bang Chan, Jisung, and Jeongin. The two boys seemed to be having fun; I assume Jeongin wasn't flaunting his misdeeds to Jisung. And Bang Chan... he was so kind to me all day. Always wanting to help me out, giving me tasty drinks, and asking about my well-being.

The gentle words and sweet looks he's been giving me lately make me so shy. Whenever we are near each other, he gives me a smile that immediately makes my cheeks turn a pinkish color. I don't know if he's aware of how much of a nervous mess I become when our eyes meet, but he surely knows how to make my heart flutter. The strong dislike I used to feel towards my boss in the beginning is now all replaced by yearning for his presence. I can't believe I fell for someone who used to treat me so rudely before.

"Boys, I think we can start preparing to close, as I don't think there are going to be any more guests. Jisung and Jeongin, you can start to broom and mop upstairs, then here also, put the chairs up, and do the other stuff that needs to be done. Hyunjin-ah, come here, I'll show you some stuff."

Chan POV

I showed Hyunjin everything that needs to be done during closing. He was so adorable, listening intently to my words. I really like how attentive and smart he is. I guess that's what made me fall for him, and of course his gorgeous features and beautiful smile.

It was already 8 p.m., so I sent the two boys home. I was tired of hearing them being so loud and talkative after I had such a long day. I wanted to be able to focus on Hyunjin, but I just couldn't with Jeongin and Jisung being noisy. I felt much better now that it was just me and Hyunjin. Being alone with him, however, made me fully lose focus on work. All I could think about was the beautiful waiter boy.

We were done with everything; Hyunjin went to change quickly. I turned off the lights except for some decorations and neons to keep the store aesthetic at night, too. I was waiting for him in the small hallway at the store's entrance. Hyunjin came back with his uniform changed to a casual black shirt, leaving the top part unbuttoned. His exposed collarbone, milky white skin, and messy hair made me go crazy. His already beautiful face looked even more ethereal in this dim lighting. He looked at me, confused, as I started toward him. He took a few steps backward until he could go no further because of the wall behind him. I stood in front of him, looking into his beautiful, glowing eyes. I could no longer control myself; I finally closed the distance between us. I could feel the boy's surprise as his whole body trembled when our lips met, but a few seconds later he kissed me back. I ran my fingers through Hyunjin's soft hair, to which he pulled me closer. Our kiss was deep and passionate, yet comforting and calming. I poured all my emotions into it, hoping he would understand how much I had been craving this moment. The tender, sweet lips of his, his soft cheeks I caressed, the warmth of his body—it was all perfect. I slowly pulled away, still holding him close to me.

"If only you knew how long I've wanted to do this."

"And if only you knew how much I wanted you to finally kiss me." He looked at me with those mesmerizing eyes, pulling me into a warm embrace.
