The next morning, Caroline and I woke to Lily screaming, remembering how she had the first day of our first year at Hogwarts.
After getting up and getting ready, we headed downstairs and waited on the couch.
A few minutes later, we saw Lucy coming towards us, aggressively rubbing her eyes.
"Hey Lucy! How was your first night?" Caroline asked.
Lucy just groaned as she sat next to Caroline and put her hands on her eyes.
"That good, huh?" Caroline teased. "Lucy, you haven't even gotten ready," Caroline said as she noticed Lucy's pink pajamas and messy hair.
"I think I'll stay here today," Lucy mumbled.
"Nope. Go on, get moving to your dorm. Lily follows a tight schedule, and you don't want to be late," Caroline said.
Lucy whined and groaned, but got up to go back to her dorm.
Lily then came over to us.
"Hey!.. Let me think... Caroline and.. Y/n, right?"
"That's us," I said.
"Great!" She said, smile spread across her face.
"Is it just me, or are you more cheerful than you were last year?" I grinned.
"What? that's ridiculous," She said.
I gave her a look like "Really? Is it now?"
"Oh alright. I told you about this last year, but you cannot tell ANYONE ok?" She said.
Caroline and I nodded.
"Ok." She took a deep breath. "Dylan is no longer with his girlfriend. I obviously was happy for them, but when I asked him about it, he said he didn't really like her that much. Said his parents made him be with her. Anyway, he kind of asked if I wanted to go get some Butterbeer with him this weekend."
"Really?!" Caroline asked.
"Yeah. I mean it's not a date, right? Friends go get Butterbeer all the time together. I've only had a crush on him for three years,"
"Well, let us know how it goes alright? We'll try not to bother you when we're at Hogsmeade." I said.
"Ok," Lily said, giving us a smile, before going back to giving orders.
Lucy came back out to us, dressed, short hair brushed neatly, and ready to go.
"Lucy! You're ready!" Caroline exclaimed.
"Yep." She was now looking nervous instead of tired.
"So Lucy, what do you think you're favorite class is going to be?" I asked her.
"Um, I don't know... maybe Charms?" She said.
"Oooh Charms is a good one." I comment. "Too bad you don't have Hermione there with you."
We then went to breakfast in the Great Hall. Lucy was panting.
"You get used to it," Caroline reassured her.
We sat down as I poured myself a glass of pumpkin juice. I then grabbed some bacon, toast, and a muffin.
Suddenly, I remembered that my cousins were here at Hogwarts and I had forgotten to congratulate them.
"Oh! Caroline, I'll be right back, I've got to go find my cousins and congratulate them on getting into Hogwarts and everything of the sorts."
She nodded.
I remembered they were sorted into Ravenclaw, so I went over to the table, scanning it and walking a little down the pathways in between the tables, until I spotted them.
