Chapter 1 Tris POV

Hello, my name is Tris Prior, my parents Andrew and Natalie are the most powerful witch and wizard couple in the world. As of this I was born with a power, and so was my younger sister Lira. I have a stronger power than Lira but I still have a strong power. Usually you'd need a wand or an enchanted item to hold power but my sister and I have it inside ourselves.

As my parents are powerful at wizardry they started a school called Divergent school of witchcraft. It was founded in 2011 and is now the best place to go for learning.

I am in the same year as my sister and we are close so we are in the same friend group, we recently moved into high school so the group expanded here is everyone and their couples.

I haven't told you yet what my powers were, mine are teleportation and I can make things appear with the flick of my wrist. Lira can shapeshift and her second power she will find out when she turns 13 ½ which so happens to be in a few days.

Today is our first day of term 3, year 7 and we are meeting the group in front of the academy. Mother and Father leave early to organise things so my sister and I get ready.

I shove my food into my lunch box when Lira makes her way down the stairs her hair all messed up, and eyes droopy (probably from waking up) "morning! First day of school for term 3 half way through!" I greet and she sits on one of the high chairs near the island bench.

"Why are you so happy this morning?" She replies, taking her hair band out leaving her waist length brown hair fall down, brushing her fingers through her hair before putting it up into a ponytail with a braid coming through it.

"Well I get to see four again, you can see Nova, we can do combat training etc etc etc!"

"Valid, I'm going to go and get dressed, when do you want to leave?"

"Maybe around 9:30, school starts at 9:45 but it only takes a 5 minute walk so we'll be there soon with ten minutes to spare and talk to the gang"

"Mhm k"

She walks back upstairs and I throw my wand, laptop and lunch into my bag. I use my power to create a pin for my bag, when Lira walks down the stairs with her black bag, wearing black ripped jeans, a cropped black T shirt, platform knee high black boots and sunnies.

"Wow you look good let's go!" I say

We started our walk after I turned around and locked the door safely behind us.
