It was officially the next day. After a long night of nothing but lovemaking, I found myself sandwiched between the two goddesses, feeling my cheeks flush at the memory of the previous night.
"You shouldn't be up so early," Evelyn mumbled in her sleep. "How did you know I was awake when your eyes are literally closed?" I asked, unsure whether to be impressed or bemused.
"That's because your breathing pace changes once you're awake," Ashantii answered, leaving me in awe of their perception. "You guys are weird," I chuckled, making them both laugh.
Suddenly, Evelyn's phone rang, prompting her to get up and head to the bathroom to take the call.
"How about we watch something before getting up for breakfast?" Ashantii suggested, switching on the TV.
"Welcome back to ENCA. Police say they have a lead on the identity of the deceased person whose body was found las—" before the news anchor could finish, Ashantii swiftly turned off the TV, hinting that something was amiss. "That's enough negativity for the day," she stated flatly.
"But I want to know what's going on," I protested. "And I prefer we enjoy our day without any negativity," Ashantii replied, her hand caressing my cheek. "But there's a murderer on the loose, and we should be aware of the danger," I insisted, starting to reach for my phone. "Do you really think I'd let anything happen to you, baby?" Ashantii chuckled, her eyes reassuring me. "I just want us to be safe and informed," I said, feeling the weight of the situation.
"Baby, trust me, nothing is going to happen to you, so relax," Ashantii reassured me, her words comforting me. "Yeah, princess, you need to chill out," Evelyn echoed from the bathroom door, a knowing smile on her face.
"Now, care to join me for a shower, ladies?"
