Haunted

Chapter One: Introduction

I have to admit being a teenager is not the best experience one could have but it's well...kind of funny in different ways. I walked down stairs from my majestic room, in a rush in desperate need of my pom-poms. My face was hot fro fury and I was running late, I mean, much later than usual, "One, two, three, four" a miniature voice pitched, the voice was coming from the living room, and there he was, still in his pajamas, with straight brunette hair sweeping uncontrollably across his picture perfect face, with a pointy chin and hazel eyes with lashes every girl dreams of. "Jake, I thought we spoke about you taking my pom-poms without me knowing". But the supermodel who was now standing on the sofa was now mouthing words o apology with a grin at the back of everything. I walked over, reached for the pom-poms at the same time kissing him on the cheek, I watched him cutely wipe my new strawberry flavored lip balm away, yet with a disgusted look that sent me laughing through the kitchen door.

As always my locker was the neatest -or so I believe-. I took a deep sigh at the sight of my Alex Pettyfer at the far end of my locker. "Boo!" Somebody hit hard on my locker door closing it with a hard slam. "Shoot!" I screamed dropping my books or the first lesson. I was about to throw a tantrum when I glanced up I realized that it was my best friend Sheenay."Oh jack, Sheenay do you want me to follow my parents, you almost gave me a heart attack" I said freaked out, I picked my books up and gave one of my long warm hugs-okay maybe not that deep I just hugged her- and then she started telling me about what she will be doing after school . Sheenay was a very cheerful child, always laughing; she doesn't have a problem with anybody unless you really tick her off. She lives with her mom and brother, lost her dad when she was three, and like me has been single for over a year now.

We were still giggling and chattering when Mrs. Carlit, our English teacher, hushed us in one of her pathetic sarcastic ways, now I knew why she always had a double with us but yet we still failed the subject." Miss Julie and Miss Converse" at once we said, "Its Convé Ma'am". "Don't back chat young ladies", then she turned on her heel to scold at the rest of the class and said "When you enter my classroom, you keep quiet" she snapped a devious look at Sheenay and I, then continued "I don't care about what you saw, who you kissed or if you figured out a new way to pick your nose". I cupped my hand over my mouth and mumbled under my breath only loud enough for Sheenay and myself to hear "now that just increases our sentence of being nuns by a year" Sheenay automatically reached for her diary, opened a page and started chewing her pen, she then glanced at me and then scribbled something on the page" uhm Shen what are you doing?" "Dude you can be a nun all you want but I can't take it anymore, I'm making a list of all the geeks I know every weekend is a date baby" we broke into laughter then we said at once "When the going gets tough, the Tough gets going" I'm guessing she was about to shout detention when the bell rang, lol to imagine we actually had a full conversation after that path to hell lecture.

I went through the school day in a bliss I had a lot of homework so I just wanted to get home, shower then sleep, wake up later, make dinner and do my homework. Exhausted I opened the door, and immediately heard shooting and crashing, an innocent cry, silent and then out of the blue a gunshot. "Hi guys" I said walking over to kiss my little brother and hugging Aunt Stella, "Sorry I left early today couldn't stay for breakfast" I apologized biting my lip and batting my eyes. Then a loud crackling sound caught my attention at the same time Jake was springing victoriously in the air, shouting "I won again" "Melisa " Aunt Stella moaned "you made me lose" "Oops I'm sorry, but Aunt Stellz you've been losing ever since this thing was bought, so it doesn't really make a difference." Jake was pulling something out of the pile of books that is next to the television stand."What's that Jake?" I said in a sarcastic voice while I knew exactly what it was "well it's a record book Aunt Stella bought when we bought this thing magigy I remember her saying clearly when we were still in the store, and I quote 'now this little man is for me to record all my victorious wins and all you disgraceful loses'" we all burst into laughter at the end of Jakes statement.
