Chapter 4
(Minho's POV)

Minho arrived at school earlier than usual, trying to steady the nervous excitement
bubbling up in his chest. He leaned against his locker, casually looking around, but
in reality, he was waiting for Jisung. This wasn't like him. Normally, he'd be the last
person concerned about someone else's arrival time, but everything felt different
with Jisung.

Get a grip, he told himself, but he couldn't shake the anticipation building inside him.
His hand absentmindedly drummed against the locker door, and he caught himself
checking his phone, even though he had no reason to. It felt like forever before the
doors finally opened and there he was, Jisung, rushing in with his shirt slightly
untucked, clutching a piece of toast in his mouth as if he were in some kind of cheesy
rom-com. Minho chuckled to himself, finding the sight both ridiculous and adorable.

Jisung glanced around, looking a bit flustered, his gaze finally landing on Minho. Their
eyes met for the briefest moment, and Minho quickly looked away, hoping Jisung hadn't
noticed the way his face was heating up. Why am I acting like this? he wondered. But
Jisung was like a breath of fresh air a new presence that made him feel things he hadn't
felt in a long time.

When Jisung reached his seat beside Minho, Minho snuck a quick glance, trying
to take in the details without being too obvious. Jisung's hair was slightly mussed,
and there was a hint of a smile tugging at his lips, as if he was amused by something
only he knew. Minho's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly turned his attention to his
notebook, pretending to review the notes he'd already memorized.

As the teacher started the lecture, Minho could feel Jisung's gaze flickering toward
him every so often. After a few minutes, he couldn't help but smirk. It was kind of
funny, actually seeing Jisung's attempts at subtlety.
Deciding to have a bit of fun, he leaned over and whispered,
"You've been staring at me for the past 20 minutes."

Jisung turned bright red, stumbling over his words. "Oh! Uh, sorry... I didn't mean to..."

Minho felt a laugh bubble up in his chest but managed to keep his expression neutral,
nodding as if he hadn't noticed Jisung's mortification. But inside, he was amused
and, if he was honest with himself, thrilled. The idea that Jisung might be just as
interested as he was made his heart beat faster. Maybe this isn't one-sided, he thought,
and the realization sent a rush of excitement through him.

When the teacher announced that he and Jisung would be on cleaning duty together
after class, he barely suppressed a grin. Guess today's my lucky day. He stole a
glance at Jisung, who seemed too focused on hiding his embarrassment to notice.

As the final bell rang and the other students filed out, Minho grabbed a broom
and started sweeping, trying to act casual. Jisung shuffled around the room,
awkwardly tidying up, glancing at him from time to time. Minho could feel the
silence stretching between them, thick with unspoken
words. Finally, Jisung spoke up, his voice quiet.

"Um...can I ask you something?" he said, looking hesitant.

Minho paused, gripping the broom handle a little tighter. "Yeah, sure."

Jisung hesitated, as if choosing his words carefully.
"Why were you so rude to me when we first met? And even now...you're still kind of cold."

Minho was caught off guard by the question. He hadn't expected Jisung to bring up
their first encounter, especially not with such directness. He remembered snapping
at Jisung to get out of his favorite spot and instantly regretting it, but he couldn't
admit that now. Instead, he shrugged, trying to keep his tone casual.
