Steven POV
The rain poured down on my head. But I thought, who actually cares? I can control the weather, after all. I just was not feeling great, I was upset. At what, you might ask. My parents had just died in a car accident. And I was not there in time to help them. They had lost control of their car and going spinning off the edge of a cliff. Not very pretty, huh? Their bodies were worse. Some people climbed down to the bottom of the cliff and found their lifeless bodies. Guess what? No surprise, there were some arms detached from a body or bodies, and that wasn't the worst of it. Their faces were. Skin ripped off, we could only see the bones inside. By the time I got there, their bodies were decaying. Of course, even if you are the most powerful person in the world, you can't save someone who's in that kind of a condition. So I had become an orphan in one day, in one unfortunate event. But I believed that it could not be such a coincidence, to have both my parents dead and they had gone flying off a cliff in a car. Well, I don't think I've mentioned but my paternal grandparents died that way too. Coincidence much? I don't think so. I was going to find the murderer of my parents. So, I set up a club for those who wanted to help me. Surprisingly, about 40 people turned up. Wow, I thought. So many people came to respect my parents and find the culprit, huh? My parents were very respected people as the parents of the most powerful people in the world. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. These 40 people came from ONE neighbourhood. I could have gone around looking for other people, but I noticed some legacies(powers) in around half of them. I dismissed the less powerful ones, and stuck with around 15-20 powerful people. They became the 'Powerhouses' along with me. I was the leader, they were my faithful disciples. Or so I thought. The first night when we set off, all of us heard a scream, from one of the tents. By the way, each tent held 4-5 people, so 4 tents altogether. We named the tents 1, 2, 3 and 4. Someone in tent 3 was dead. It turned out to be this guy called Kaymond, who was one of the first to volunteer to help me. His legacy was water, he could control water, how it flowed, where it flowed. In fact, I was very sad by the loss if this 15 year old because I was actually going to appoint him deputy leader the next morning. We asked the other 3 tent members questions. First I asked each of them what they saw and who screamed. Of course, I deduced that only 2 people were telling the truth and the liar was the murderer.
Herald said that he saw Jackson screaming. Jackson said that he did scream. Richie said that he thought Jackson murdered Kaymond because he was the first one to see Kaymond dead. Everyone was stumped. Even I was. I wasn't THAT good at deduction... We sat there the rest of the night, thinking, thinking, thinking...
"WAIT A SECOND!!! I KNOW WHO DID IT!" Said this guy called Frederick. Turns out his legacy was deduction... I don't know WHY he didn't use his legacy earlier. "Richie is lying! HE did it! Richie, stand up and lift your pillow." He did so and there was a knife, matching Kaymond's wound. "It-it-it was planted here!" Frederick said, " Show us your hands." He had been lying on his hands all along so that no one would see!!! They were filled with blood. "I figured this out because he kept on lying on his hands nervously... It has to be him!" said Frederick. "WHY?? WHY, Richie?" I asked. Richie replied,"Because I heard you saying you would make Kaymond deputy leader! I wanted to be deputy! Anyway, you are going to kill me now, do it!" The sky rumbled. I zapped him hard with lightning. Then the sky cleared. He was there, lying on the ground, dead. His legacy was iron fists. What a shame, I thought. We could have used him. We slept after that, moving on. But one powerhouse was devising a plan to stop me, I could feel it. But I didn't know who it was...
