This fanfic takes place in an AU in which Aiden is a famous TikTok influencer on Canada and auditioned for Disventure Camp to become more popular, he's a bit of an egotistical and pragmatic person, who was more concerned with his social media following than how he treated the people around him, whereas James is a Trans E-boy who is pretty mature for his age and is a huge fan of reality shows, little did they know that both of them were gonna end up being closer than they thought
It was the debut of season 2 of Disventure, like in the OG, the bus breaks down and Nina said that she called the host, who said the campers have to run down the road to reach the camp entrance, and the last two who arrive would be eliminated. The campers then start running.
Suddenly, James starts running next to Aiden, recognizing him "Hey, I know you, aren't you that guy who's popular on TikTok, what's your name again, AidenCD?" He asked
Aiden answered "Indeed I am, why do you ask?"
James was thrilled to see a TikTok influencer in flesh and bone "My god, I can't believe I'm with an actual popular TikTok Influencer, by the way, what are you doing here? Are you a fan of these kinds of shows? Because I am, I've watched last season"
Aiden replied "You really are talkative huh? Well if you must know, I came to this show to become more popular, maybe I'll hit 2 million followers on TikTok and Instagram"
James continues "You're definitely not satisfied with 1 million followers, I literally have only 200 and I feel grateful about it, though I wouldn't mind having more"
Aiden proposed "Well if you want, maybe we can take a photo together, if you want that is"
James loved that idea "I would be honored"
When they arrived and after they got assigned to their teams, they went to their cabins, Aiden asks James who was his favorite contestant from season 1 and why "I think my favorites will have to be Tom and Jake since I follow them and they are the most popular because they were a couple, though hot take: my favorite is also Will" he answered, Aiden took acknowledge of that "Oh, you like that contestant" he whispered "I'm not surprised to be honest"
James raised an eyebrow "What was that you said"
Aiden quickly answered "Oh uh nothing"
The next day, their 1st challenge started and they sadly lost due to Oliver's hallucinations, which caused his elimination (Or should I say, was hired by Kristal as an intern)
From then, this AU share the same events as the original universe, until episode 11...
Aiden and James went to the dock to swim for a bit before the challenge
Aiden asked "Hey James, why don't you come join me in the water? What's more, why don't you take that shirt off?"
James was embarrassed and answered "Nah I think I'll pass"
Aiden was curious to know why "Why is that? Why do you have those muscles if you're not gonna show them"
"I'd rather not answer that" James said
Aiden keeps insisting "Fine, at least get in the water with that shirt on"
James then joined Aiden in the water
"There, happy now?"
Aiden answered "Yes I do, anyway, we didn't ask each other what would we do with the money"
James nodded "Yep, what would you do if you won the money"
Aiden thought about it for a moment and answered "Well, I had other plans for the million bucks in the start of the game, but now, I think I want to donate the money to important causes, and I also want to share it with my sister"
James was surprised to hear that "That's very generous of you, and you only want to share it with your sister? What about your family in general?"
Aiden was embarrassed "Um, I'd rather not talk about them"
