I was 9 years old when dad got played off work he was always tired he said and didn't make time for me,he would demand things from my mom and get drunk on the couch. My mom had enough, on my 10th birthday October 20th my dad said he was going out with"his guys and don't wait up" my mom yelled and said "I wish I never told u that you were her father" my mom covered her mouth as I walked into the room. -Dad, what do you mean she's not my daughter Sylvia. -Mom, I'm so sorry honey I was drunk it was my bachelor party and I slept with a male stripper. I swear it was only one time he means nothing to me.-Ashlyn, Daddy daddy it's my birthday, I ran to him but he shut the door in my face.

-mom, come here honey ur dads just upset rn. Ashlyn- but what about my birthday. -Mom, we will still have ur party I promise. And we did I had my party but dad didn't come back for a few days and when he did he wasn't the same. He walked inside and saw my mom in the kitchen.-Mom, where the hell have you been you don't just abandon ur family over one fight. -Dad,you ruined my life I got played off bc I just had to skip work for a family vacation and now my wife tells me she cheated on me bf we even got together, oh and don't let me forget that little bitch up there anit even mine Sylvia so excuse me for being pissed off.-Mom, how could you say that about us about her what kind of father are you. Mom slams her  fist on the table and walks to her room. Dad yells and grabs another beer.

-later that night he got up from the table and did the unthinkable, he stumbled to my room and tapped me.-Dad, hey sweetheart daddy's sorry for missing your party.-Ashlyn,I couldn't stay mad at u daddy.-Dad,there's something I wanna show you it's a secret that you can't tell mom about. Then he pulled down his pants and placed my hand on his....well you know and in that moment I just let him do it I was 10 I was confused dad wasn't like this he never did this to me before and I wasn't sure what to do but keep his promise keep it a secret.

He touched my breast and I cried bc I was so uncomfortable and I knew this isn't how parents should touch there children my mom always told me to not let anyone in my areas but now my dads invading my space violating me. I was to scared to face him then I thought he loved me he told me I was making him happy and I'm a good daughter for letting him touch me and I believed him so I never told my mom I didn't wanna break my dads trust or my moms heart.

So even though I felt in my heart this is wrong my mind trusted my dad bc he said he would never hurt me and that this is what daughters are supposed to do with there fathers but if I could tell my younger self something I would tell her that what her dad did to her was not love and that I need to save myself from him because that man's a monster who shouldn't be a dad
