Misplaced Streets 2

Time To Clock In

I end up making it home from the store and I start to put away the groceries. As I'm organizing the fridge, I can't stop thinking about Susan, she looks just like her. As I finish put the groceries away, I go and change into my workout clothes and head to the gym. As I head to front of the gym, I read the sign as it says" Will's Shop". A little weird for a gym but I don't think much of it. I head inside and I see about fifteen people training and about five employees. As I walk up to the front desk, everyone is looking at me as if they're shocked and intrigued. I get to the front desk and I say, " Excuse me sir, is there a manager or something I can speak to".

As he begins to turn around to answer me he looks and says, " Holy crap!". I reply with, " I'm sorry is something wrong?". He answers back with, " My deepest apologies sir, it's just that your physique just caught me off guard. You look as if someone has carved you out of steel". I laugh a bit as I thank him for the compliment, he then gets on the phone and calls someone to come down. The guy who comes down is about six foot seven and is lean but you can tell it's all muscle . He walks over and says, " Hello sir, my name is Jason Will. I'm the owner of this place, how can I assist you today?".

As he says his name, I immediately start to think about Mike. I ask him, " I'm sorry if this is a weird or random question but do you happen to have any siblings?". He then replies, " Yes, in fact I have a brother name Mike but we haven't talked in a few years. Why do you ask? Did he send you here?". I then sigh a bit as my heart begins to feel heavy as I say, " Is it ok if we continue this conversation in your office?". He nods his head as we head upstairs and as we reach his door he has a sign that says, " Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with god through our lord Jesus Christ".

We sit down and he says, " So what's going on that requires this private conversation?". I take a deep breath as I reply, " This is probably one of the hardest things I've done so far in my life but I'm sorry to say that your brother Mike was murdered about two months ago". As I finished my sentence, Jason's head just falls past his shoulders as if he's been decapitated. It's silent for a few as I hear is nose sniffing and he finally says, " Mike....I told you to slow down and stop messing with all these females but you just couldn't listen.". I look at him a bit confused as I say, " How did you know it was over a woman?". He lifts his head up as he shows his red eyes from crying and replies, " I've known that man since the sandbox, there's much more to Mike than you think you know".
