"Have you ever experienced love?" Jarren asked out of nowhere.
Fyang laughed nervously at Jarren's question. But she fell silent when she didn't receive a reaction from him.
"Gusto mo ba talaga ng sagot?" she asked, her voice soft. Jarren only nodded in response.
"Oo, naranasan ko ng magmahal at mahalin," Fyang admitted, lowering her head to wipe away a tear that had fallen from her eye.
"Are you happy with him?" Fyang turned to Jarren, who was still staring into the distance.
"Oo naman," Fyangan answered without hesitation.
"Liar, you're not happy. If that guy made you happy, then why are you crying?" Jarren's words caused Fyang's aw q tears to flow freely, as if they couldn't be stopped.
"If it's hurting you, it's not love anymore. Don't stay with him if he's hurting you. You deserve someone better, someone who will love you fully, and won't make you cry," Jarren continued.
Besides, I made a promise that I will never leave him no matter what," Fyang replied. Jarren remained silent, so Fyang decided to stand up.
"Umuwi na tayo, mahal, maggagabi na," she said. Jarren turned to her, noticing she had grabbed a shawl and was wrapping it around him.
"Why did you choose to stay? You're not happy anymore."
Fyang spoke with emotion, her voice breaking with tears.
"Sapat na dahilan na ang pagmamahal ko sa'yo," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion, "and as long as I'm with you, I'm happy."
