"You did great on your trail this morning, I am so proud of you and I am sure if your dad was still alive and saw your performance he would be even more proud than me," Mrs Choi sat beside her. "Yeah, it's...tougher than I expected. But I'm doing my best to keep up. Today was especially hard with Jungkook. I thought I might collapse." YN forces a small smile. 

"Do you know the reason why there's this sudden trial?" Mrs. Choi studies her daughter. "To prove my strength to the pack and earn my place among them" YN mocked. "That's not the real reason why these trials and training," Mrs Choi said softly. 

"Then, what is it?" YN asked. "YN, dearest, have you ever heard of this phrase called the second transformation?" Mrs Choi questioned and YN shook her head. 

Mrs Choi sighs before continuing "Well, you do know that I'm a Beta, and your late father was an Alpha, right?" She paused before adding "Normally, with a pairing like ours, our child would be either a Beta or an Alpha. But you... you were born an Omega. It was surprising, even to me. However, I believe that your true nature hasn't fully revealed itself yet." 

"My true nature? Please, don't tell me there's a possibility that I have the chance to transform into Beta or Alpha?" YN said in disbelief. "Yes, there is however is quite rare," 

"Quite rare?" YN looked at her mom in a confused manner. "Indeed, only a handful of wolves in any generation ever experience it. But it's not a simple or painless process." 

"And he knows it?" 

"Who?" 

"Him, Uncle Dae Hong. He knows it,"

Mrs Choi nods her head. "He saw the potential in you. He saw hope that maybe you could undergo this second transformation. The intensity and pressure they're putting on you could trigger the second transformation. These challenges, the physical and emotional strain—they're building your resilience, shaping your inner strength."

"Now, I know why you fell in love with him. He's a perfect man for the both of us," YN joked, gently Mrs Choi let out a soft chuckle. 

"But, Mom, why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I didn't share this with you before because I wanted you to find your path on your terms. Mrs Choi explained. "B-but, regarding what you said this transformation is quite rare, what if I didn't manage to transform?" YN doubt. 

"What makes you think you can't?" Mrs Choi looks at her. "I don't know," Yn replied in doubt.

"Then, I think you should find the answer yourself," Mrs Choi whispered before leaving the room "Remember, my child: you carry your father's spirit and my strength within you. No matter what happens, be proud of who you are, and if you do undergo this transformation, know that it's because of the strength that was inside you all along."

That night, Mrs Choi's words linger in her mind. She decided to dive deeper into this second transformation and there was only one place where she could find all her answers - the library.
