"Little girl, may I see your hand?" The storyteller finally came up with a solution after some thought.

Ye Wenxin looked at him, puzzled as to why he wanted to see her hand.

Seeing her wariness, he explained, "I mean no harm. I just happen to have an artifact that can test if you have the potential for immortality."

Ye Wenxin recalled such an artifact existed, but it was rare due to its high value. This storyteller didn't seem extraordinary enough to possess it, which piqued her curiosity.

Despite her doubts, she extended her hand. The storyteller fumbled for a moment before pulling out a palm-sized Bagua mirror from his Qiankun bag.

The Bagua mirror was engraved with yin-yang symbols, with a spirit stone in the center, crafted with precision. The stone was white, seemingly of the lowest grade.

"This is an artifact I made myself. It can detect if you have the potential to become an immortal cultivator," he explained, nervously rubbing his nose.

"Am I going to be a guinea pig?" Ye Wenxin couldn't help but ask. The storyteller looked puzzled, "Miss, this is an artifact, not a guinea pig."

Feeling awkward, Ye Wenxin explained, "By guinea pig, I mean a test subject. Are you sure this artifact really works?"

He replied confidently, "Of course, otherwise I wouldn't dare use it."

Relieved, Ye Wenxin extended her hand. He placed the Bagua mirror in her palm, "Hold it like this for the time it takes to burn an incense stick."

Ye Wenxin felt as if her mind was racing. The principle reminded her of a thermometer, measuring spiritual energy through body temperature. The low-grade spirit stone likely displayed this indicator.

Realizing the artifact could indeed test aptitude, she infused it with her power while the storyteller was distracted. The white spirit stone turned red.

"It's a storage stone, not a low-grade one," she mused, further changing it to blue and gold, easily manipulating it with her energy.

The storyteller had some talent, but was born in the wrong era.

Ye Wenxin reverted the stone to its original color while he was distracted by a beautiful woman, then asked, "Sir, what color indicates potential?"

"Anything but white."

His response was dismissive. Ye Wenxin smiled wryly; despite her time here, she was clueless about basic theories.

"What color do you think looks best?" She wanted to ensure she didn't reveal her secret and end up killing the first person she encountered after fleeing.

"Yellow," he answered absently, focused on the distant beauty.

Ye Wenxin saw the woman in an almond-yellow dress, radiant like a blooming sunflower. Compared to Ye Wenxin's undeveloped form, most eyes were on the woman.

The woman seemed accustomed to the attention, holding a sword, her gaze shifting as if waiting for someone.

"Isn't that Huang Hanyan?" The storyteller seemed to forget about Ye Wenxin's test, naming the woman.
