"Is Senior Sister Long's reputation really that bad?" Ye Wenxin asked, half amused, half exasperated, recalling Long Qing'er's gentle demeanor towards her, which seemed the epitome of a kind older sister.

"I've met her a few times, and she didn't leave a good impression," Ling Jue, usually composed and intellectual, spoke with uncharacteristic sharpness, indicating a strong impression of Long Qing'er.

Ye Wenxin chose not to defend Long Qing'er further, nor did she continue Ling Jue's line of criticism. Instead, she stepped onto Ling Jue's flying artifact. Observing her reaction, Ling Jue folded her fan and lightly boarded the artifact.

The fan took off, carrying them through the forest, as Ye Wenxin looked down, reflecting on her months spent in the forest.

"Remember where the herbs are; you might need to gather them for me later," Ling Jue reminded Ye Wenxin, gazing below to ensure she retained the knowledge from their time in the woods.

After about half an hour, Ye Wenxin spotted the town at the foot of Cangyu Sect. As the flying artifact gradually descended, she voiced her confusion, "Aren't we going directly to Cangyu Sect?"

"I can, but you're still a mortal and need to buy some supplies," Ling Jue replied, closing her fan and extending a hand to Ye Wenxin, who hesitated on the fan.

Instantly, all eyes in the vicinity turned toward them, fixating on Ling Jue's extraordinary beauty.

Ling Jue, sensing the shift in atmosphere, withdrew her hand, "You can jump down yourself." Her expression was one of resigned frustration, clearly disliking the attention.

Yet the allure of the Enigmatic Young Master captivated everyone. Women admired him, and men were torn between envy and jealousy, longing to replace him. Ye Wenxin quietly followed, trying to keep her unremarkable face unnoticed to avoid drawing attention before even reaching the sect.

"You little brat, I finally found you!" A sharp voice cut through the crowd, startling everyone. Following the shout, a man charged angrily at Ye Wenxin.

The man looked familiar, but Ye Wenxin couldn't immediately place where she had seen him.

"Excuse me, who might you be?" Ye Wenxin asked, bewildered. The man, even more enraged, raised his voice, "It's you, you ruined my life..." His voice grew more hysterical, gesturing angrily to his groin, his words filled with venomous resentment.

In that moment, Ye Wenxin recalled the man as the pig who had harassed her at the inn.

However, thanks to Long Qing'er and Huang Hanyan's intervention, the pig had not only been beaten half to death but also fed a sterilizing potion by Long Qing'er.

"How could it be me? Didn't the innkeeper tell you it was Long Qing'er from Cangyu Sect who caused your loss?" Ye Wenxin blinked innocently, fully aware of why the man was shouting at her.

The Shengshi Dynasty thrived under Cangyu Sect's protection, and Long Qing'er was not only a princess but also an inner disciple. A mere nouveau riche like the pig couldn't afford to provoke her.

But Ye Wenxin was different-she was a typical nobody.

The pig harbored resentment but could only take it out on powerless Ye Wenxin.
