You got flowers for Karlach!

You hadn't planned it, really, but when you walked down that street, and spotted that shop, well, you just had to buy those flowers. And, admittedly, perhaps you were a little overzealous in buying them, having a bouquet in your hands, and a bouquet stuffed in the left side of your coat, and another bouquet stuffed in the right — but see, you just had to buy these flowers. Because Karlach would be so very happy with them, wouldn't she?

And you felt quite silly, being so fluffed up with flowers, but it also felt like your heart was floating, a skip in your step as you approached the door of your shared space, slowly opening it and peeking inside.

There she was, lying down on the bed, arms outstretched with her mouth wide open as she snored. You smiled before going up to her sleeping self, gently poking her arm.

She didn't stir, her eyes still closed, and the dreams in her mind uninterrupted. Hm, alright, what if you did something a bit bolder?

With one quick movement, you made yourself comfy on her lap, all your bouquets still safe with you. You waited for a reaction.

"....."

Sleeping like a log, she was. Not a peep or squeak from her. Then there she did it, you laughing hard as she let out another loud snore. Oh sure, that's what you'll get from her.

You watched her peaceful face, seeing the smile on her lips, and being completely unaware you were on top of her. Bad Karlach, being so unguarded in her sleep. For that, now you were going to do nefarious things to her.

Nefarious things such as covering her in flowers. You plucked a flower from the bouquet, placing it beside her face. Then you took another flower, a pretty orange one, and placed it on the other side. Then you took another, and another, and another, placing them around her head, like some sort of halo. It was a messy arrangement, with the stems intact, but it looked nice on her.

You picked out another flower, and... wait a moment, when did she stop snoring?

"Woah—!" You yelped as she grabbed your hips and flipped you on your back, the air leaving your lungs. You gasped as you looked up at her, seeing her heated, searing glare.

...Damn it all to hells, was this how it was like to be down bad for someone? Had it been anyone else, you wouldn't have been affected, but seeing her angry just made you feel excited.

"Wait," She blinked, hard, her eyelids closing once, twice, before she drew closer, your noses almost touching. She blinked again, her glare now gone. "Oh, love, it's you."

"The one and only." You said, then raised the bouquet in your hands. "And I got this for you!"

She slowly took the bouquet, her mouth opening in disbelief before she broke out in huge laughter.

You wiggled your brows, conspiratorially opening the left side of your coat, "And this," then the right side, "And also this."

She laughed harder, the bed shaking while she excitedly took the bouquets from your coat. Now she looked very good and very happy, her arms so very full with flowers.

"This is wonderful, love! What a way to start the morning!"

"Yes, yes, shower me with praise. I'm just the best lover, aren't I?"

She narrowed her eyes and hummed, seemingly in agreement, and you really did get your shower of praise as she dropped the dozens of flowers on your face.

Then she proceeded to unbutton your blouse.

"Hey!" You laughed, trying to move the flowers away while swatting at her hands. "What are you doing?!"

"Hehehe, I don't suppose you're hiding any more flowers here, are you?"

"Karlach!"

You watched in disbelief as one of the buttons flew into the air, landing some ways on the floor, never to be seen again.

"Listen, I'm only looking for my favorite flower."

"What's..." You looked back at her, feeling a little breathless, giddy, and ticklish as she placed her hands on your bare stomach. She was so warm, goosebumps rising on your skin as her hands slid upwards. "What's your favorite flower?"

She grinned. "It's you."
