Ling Jue seemed to be deliberately using Ye Wenxin as an excuse to delay, while she herself lived a serene life, appearing like a reclusive master. She spent her time either writing and drawing or occasionally venturing down the mountain to visit the market.

Meanwhile, Ye Wenxin, under the direct attention of the Cangyu Sect leader, constantly pondered how to feign a breakthrough.

After much consideration, she decided to venture to the back mountain of Cangyu Sect with the pretext of seeking an opportunity to break through to the Qi Refining stage.

"Sister Wenxin, there's no need to rush. Your cultivation is built on golden pills. Forcing a breakthrough might cause future issues," Ling Jue advised, casually cracking sunflower seeds, seemingly forgetting her purpose at Cangyu Sect.

"Brother Ling, isn't it your fault that I must reach the Qi Refining stage? The sect leader looks at me with those mournful eyes every day. The elders keep asking if I've eaten enough or if I've broken through yet. Even going to the cafeteria makes me the center of attention. It's unbearable," Ye Wenxin lamented over her month of being pressured to "Qi Refining," feeling she was on the brink of a breakdown.

Moreover, she had no time to find Fairy Fengya's secluded location and sometimes forgot why she was enduring this hardship at Cangyu Sect.

"Hehe, consider it a punishment," Ling Jue chuckled, seemingly satisfied with the outcome.

"Doesn't your conscience hurt? Even if I get close to Sister Long... wait, you're punishing them," Ye Wenxin started to complain but then remembered the benefits she'd received lately. If this was punishment, it was indeed a painful pleasure.

However, for Cangyu Sect, this pleasure was a torment. Announcing Ling Jue as the alchemy instructor to the world, yet Ling Jue hadn't begun teaching.

"I wanted to keep a low profile, but Cangyu Sect isn't being honest, trying to use my reputation for publicity. Luckily, I'm patient. If I weren't... hehe..." Ling Jue laughed, though it sent shivers down one's spine.

Ye Wenxin realized the depth of Ling Jue's cunning. Without such a mind, Ling Jue couldn't have survived disguised as a man for so many years.

"Brother Ling, this can't last forever. I really need to break through to the Qi Refining stage. I want to explore the back mountain and find my opportunity," Ye Wenxin said, the urgency of Feng Ya's seclusion ending soon making her anxious.

"Alright, the punishment has been enough. Prepare to go to the back mountain," Ling Jue agreed after some thought, handing Ye Wenxin wound-healing balm and Qi Gathering pills from her spatial bag.

"But remember, the back mountain of Cangyu Sect is not like other small forests. I can't leave, so you'll have to rely on your own luck," Ling Jue continued, giving Ye Wenxin a high-quality dagger and a bottle of Reviving Pills, seemingly still worried.

"Brother Ling, that's enough. I'm not that fragile. I've survived in the forest long before meeting you," Ye Wenxin laughed, refusing the array of items Ling Jue was trying to give her.

Ling Jue scowled slightly, pulling Ye Wenxin into her arms with a gentle tug of power. Ye Wenxin smelled the faint scent of herbs mingling with Ling Jue's fragrance.

"Don't overthink it; this is just a brother's care for his sister," Ling Jue added, fearing Ye Wenxin would misunderstand her actions.
