06| Bang, Bang

𝓗𝓮 𝔀𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭 𝓪𝓵𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓵𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓼𝓪𝔂"𝓡𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓮𝓻 𝔀𝓱𝓮𝓷 𝔀𝓮 𝓾𝓼𝓮𝓭 𝓽𝓸 𝓹𝓵𝓪𝔂?"

As Alice and Peeta were about to make they're way up to their apartments there was an eerie silence looming over them, just as the doors were about to close a hand stopped it and Alice's heart stopped. Clove and Cato entered the elevator and Clove gave her a soft smile before pushing the button for they're floor. The silence became unbearable and Alice could feel her heart beating out of her chest, ''What's up 12'' Cato said breaking the silence. ''So... is baker boy joining our alliance'' Peeta looked at Alice confused, ''Uh- i don't know Peeta do you wanna join?'' she asked nervously. 

''What alliance?'' Peeta asked, ''Our alliance dickhead'' Clove snapped. ''I'll think about it'' he said quickly. The elevator stopped at 2 and the door opened, ''See ya Alice'' Clove called walking out and Cato went over to Alice ''Meet me at 9'' he whispered before following his district partner. ''You made an alliance'' Peeta snapped ''With the careers of all people'' she rolled her eyes ''Just with 2 not with 1'' she sneered back. ''Haymitch is going to kill you'' he said, ''Yeah well i don't care because i have more of a chance winning with Clove and Cato then on my own'' she hissed. 

''All they care about is winning so they're going to kill you if it comes to it so have fun with that'' he snapped and the doors opened,  he stormed past Haymitch and Effie to his room and slammed the door. ''who took a shit in his drink'' Haymitch joked earning a slap on his arm ''Language'' she warned, ''Loosen your corset and chill out'' he replied rolling his eyes at her. ''You know why he's angry?'' he asked Alice. She gulped ready to endure whatever poison was about to come out his mouth. ''I made an alliance with 2'' she blurted and both they're eyes went wide. ''What that's amazing'' Effie squealed, ''Well that's a first'' Haymitch mumbled.

''Look having alliance with 2 is best chance of survival and Peeta can join if he wants and Clove has been teaching me how to throw knives and defended me from Marvel''  she admitted, ''Well they're a good alliance to have i'll admit that but just be careful alright'' he warned before going to the whiskey bottle on the dining table. Alice was surprised on how chill Haymitch was being but nonetheless accepted it and went to her room. She changed into a black sweater and a black skirt, she laid on her bed and closed her eyes, her eyes suddenly shot open and saw the time read 8:58 and she quickly got up and put her shoes on. She ran to the elevator and went up to the roof.

When the doors opened she saw the blond boy already waiting for her, ''You're late. Again'' he stated, ''Calm down its only 9:01'' she smirked making him smile. ''So you and Clove huh?'' he questioned, ''What's the matter you jealous'' she teased. ''As if'' he smirked and they both laughed. ''Im not jealous because i have you in a way she never could'' he put his arm around her and pulled her to his chest, he put his finger under her chin tilting her head to face him. ''And what way is that Mr?'' she smiled, he connected his lips with hers and she quickly returned the kiss.

Cato deepened the kiss and pulled her against the wall next to them, her arms went around the nape of his neck. One of her hands pulled at his hair making him moan into her mouth. They pulled apart to take a breath and her face felt hot, his lips went to her neck as he pressed wet kisses down it leaving marks. She let out a soft moan and he wrapped around her waist picking her up and putting her against the wall, she wrapped her feet around him and they both stared into each others eyes. ''What would i do without you?'' he sighed, ''Well i guess we'll never know'' she smirked and he put his lips to hers again but it lasted a few seconds before she pulled away. ''We should go to bed, we have the interviews tomorrow'' she reminded him.

He put her down and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, he led her to the elevator and he kissed her goodbye as he got off at his floor. When she got back to her apartment she snuck into her room and shut the door. She jumped to find Peeta sat there, ''Look i'll join your alliance'' he said and she smiled. ''But if they try to kill me im leaving alright'' she nodded and sat down next to him. ''I can't sleep'' he whispered ''Can i stay here for the night'' she nodded, ''Can you sing?'' he asked her. ''Well there's this song my dad used to sing to me before he died'' she smiled sadly, ''How does it go?'' ''I'll sing some'' she whispered.

''I was five and he was six, we rode on horses made of sticks ,he wore black and I wore white, he would always win the fight. Bang Bang, he shot me down, Bang Bang i hit the ground. Bang Bang, that awful sound, Bang Bang, my baby shot me down. Seasons came and changed the time, when i grew up i called him mine, he would always laugh and say. Remember when we used to play'' she sang softly and he smiled ''Its beautiful'' he said before closing his eyes and let sleep consume him. She frowned, is this song foreshadowing the pain to come?
