Grimwood Ghouls ep 7 sleepover at grimwood's


as the night went on. the storm outside the househad settled down quite a bit as sibella had practiced. with the lighting growing softer and softer....though the rain still poured heavily as the ghouls had..gathered around to do as winnie had suggested,with mood being perfect now...and as for someone like wilbie..he was certainly excited for this sense telling horror stories was his specialty and the ghouls had apparently all thought the same as they let him be the one to tell the stories..as he new a bundle of them.....though things were not going as he had expected..


" soo...the farmer made his way back to the barn where he heard the whales and neighing of the horses...and when he opened the old wooden door...he saw the appreciation of the little ghost girl before she disappeared..."


aawww..." all the ghouls said as wilbie finished his story...to which wilbie rolled his eyes...

" again really.? with the aww and everything. "

" what's not to aww...the ghost game back to visits " him ? sibella said

" yeah..as she did for the past seven days like you said , " Phantasma added " and trust me if a ghost haunts a person that much..it just means they like them "

wilbie placed a hand on his forehead.." alright clearly..this isn't going how I though it would.."

" aw come on wilb's I know you can find a good one, I mean who's seen more horror movies then you ? "

" wilbie let out sarcastic sounding chuckle, " oh I see..but every story I told you, you took it as the monster being nice ! " first of all the monster under the bed isn't trying to check up on the little boy to see if he wanted some warm spoiled milk. which again we don't drink it spoiled.! " the monster most likely wanted to eat him !! "

" winnie snickered.." well that does sound more believable to me, "

" though a little mean no ? I mean what's wrong with looking at the brigthter side of things " tanis asked..

" because that's not scary ! "" wilbie stated.." I mean just compare it to revolta..you know..an evil ghoul "

all the ghouls looked at one another and all nodded in agreement..

" oh yeah that makes sense.." Elsa said..

" well...I think I am all out of horror stories for the moment. " wilbie said getting up...

suddenly a loud crash was heard coming from out of the room., everyone quickly turned their attention towards the direction of the sound..

" what was that ? " phantasma said...

" I don't know but it sounded like it came from the kitchen.? " sibella said looking at the other.." perhaps we should go check that out ? "

everyone soon got up and made their way down the hall and towards the kitchen, though the hall was pitch black so Elsa tried to switch on the light but found that the power was still out...

" great,,how are we supposed to see where we are going ? " Elsa said..

" hey..I have perfect vision in the dark " winnie boasted.." just fallow me.."

well how can we fallow you if we can barley see you ? " tanis asked..

" just stay close.." winnie said as she led the way down the hall...further and further until it was total darkness..the only sound that could be heard was the sound of Elsa's squeaking bunny slippers...

" couldn't have picked a better time to play that game could we " Elsa mocked...

soon enough the ghouls had made it to the kitchen doors where they herd the sound of the crashing..

" alright..lets get in their and see what just happened.." sibella said as she pushed opened the door...though once they all peeked inside..all they could see was the total darkness...

" winnie you see anything..? " Sibella asked..

" well..it's not clear..but it looks..Very dark...even form me..i..." winnie stated..

" right..right..I think we need some candles. " sibell said. " hohld on .just let me go back and * crash * ow...come one sibella your not blind as a bat " she muttered to herself..

within a few minutes she came back.." alright I shoul have * crash *......just take these " she said as she handed a candle stick...she then lit each one..emitting a dim glow around them...revealing that winnie had been staring at all..

" heheh...oh....well that explains that.."

" alright...alright..now let's go in " she said as she made her way in first....she gazed around..with the others doing the same..

" hmm...it sounded almost like crashing pots and pans " elsa stated..so it's make sense if it did come from here.."

" though who'd be in the kitchen this hour of the night ? specially in the dark ? " tanis questioned..

" heh heh..yeah who would " winnie said nervously laughing and shifting her eyes around Awkwardly

everyone wonder in further as the began to inestogate the sound they had heard earlier when suddenly tanis felt something sticky under her feet....she looked down to examine it closer when she notice s brown substance splatterd all over the floor...

" huh..uh..guys ? " she alerted the others.. ?

" what is it ? " sibella said making her way over..

" look ? " she said pointing down to the ground..

sibella looked down and notice the brown mess all over the floor...she raised an eybrow..

" Eee...what is that " she said standing back up straight..

soon the other gathered behind them..now curious as to what they were talking about..

" what is it ? " Elsa asked..

" their's something all over the floor.." sibella informed.a she motioned towards it...

winnie then got down on all fours as she examined the substance closer..she then sniffed above it.." well it's certainly safe to step in " winnie nodded..it's fudge " she then stood back up..

" fudge ? you mean fungus fudge ?" sibella asked..

" yeah look right their ? " she said pointing over to a large mixing bowl that was on he floor upside down. which was likely what resulted the fudge all over the place..

winnie stuck her claw int the mess and licked it.." tasty as usual.."

" though why would their fungus fudge all over the ground ? " sibella asked..

wilbie was looking around the kitchen as well as he then notice something odd as well..." hey take a look at this ? " he motioned for the others to come over..

they quickly made their to see what he was referring to..he then told them to take a look at the fridge..which was wide open as multiple assortments of food where scattered around it.

" whoa...okay someones been digging around in here." sibella nodded..she then looked at winnie with an look of disapproval

" hey..I been with all of you all night.." she stated.." and also..I wouldn't leave that big a mess when done..I'm much more caution when sneaking food. "

" well..who else would be in here.." sibella rubbed her chin.."

" ooh my..look.." Phantasma blurted out " she floated over to the counter top..where a plate of cookies had been set..only most of them had large bites taken out of them, leaving a crumby mess everywhere...


" aww..miss grimwood was planing on having those for the bake sale on Monday " sibella stated.."


" wait a minute girls ! " tanis spoke up sounding a bit alarmed.." does anyone think this sounds a little odd "

everyone looked at her with confused expressions..

" of course it's odd...the kitchen was ransacked " Elsa informed her shaking her head..

" no what I'm saying is...remember what we did earlier ? " she pointed at wilbie...

" what does this have to do with his makeover ? " sibella said

tanis slapped her forehead.." No..remember the game we played with wilbie ? the one with the chocolate bare ? "

" you mean sweet tooth ? " wilbie cocked his head.." that was just a game I read about..it's not real "

" but..but you said it yourself..we may still get a visit from sweet tooth..." she said with a concerned nod.." I mean look..all the food had been gotten into,,those being mostly surgery treats ! " tanis said worryingly " what if he's not pleased and want's to eat us just like you told us he could do..!! .it's also like the monster under the bed who isn't checking on you to give spoil milk !!!! " tanis whaled out..

" oh tanis calm down it's alright " sibella placed her hand on her shoulder.." it was just a game..that's all....remember look at the brighter side of things "

tanis looked up smiled....though one that clearly showed she was still nervous

" remember...it was just game..." sibella remeinded her one more time..

" okay..then..how do you explain the mess in here "

sibella looked around.." well..it..it's clearly..." she said as she rubbed her chin..

" uh...wilbie..what does that creature in your game do again ? " she said a little sheepishly..

wilbie though shook his head.." it was just a game...don't tell me you all think it's real "

sibella laughed and waved her hand, " what no no..I was curious, .."

wilbie arched an eyebrow and shook his head..

" well don't feel to bad about thinking that , " phantasma spoke up " .it'd not be like the first time something like this would have happened around here..." she giggled..

" what are you talking about " wilbie said now confused...

" Yeah..what are you referring about ? " winnie asked as well..

phantasma then looked around and held the candle closer to her giving a more creepy look.." well...while this is not sleepover related, miss grimwood once told me a story of a few students who once tried to summon a creature from the underworld, it was all part of a project they were working on together. miss grimwood didn't know about it until the day of the project..and when they tried..nothing happened...but a few days later..they got an unexpected visit from a creature of the underworld....

" and what happened ? sibella asked sounding not to concerned

" well...they got a B bumped up to a B+.." phanasma stated..To which everyone just raised an eyebrow,,

sibella then sighed,," okay so.maybe summoning ghoul isn't that far fetched around here..it may be a human game..but really..are we all going to worry about some little ghoul running round and eating our food ? cause
all we need to do is find a logical exploitation behind tis before we jump to conclusions, "

everyone looked at one another and nodded...

" yeah she's right..after all...it was more then just the sugary foods that were eaten, " Elsa said motioning to the fridge..


" so I think we should all head back to the * CRASH !!! * sibella was cut off as they all heard another loud crash come from out of the kitchen this time...

" now what was that " sibella said as they all quickly made their way back to the hall...and peeked around..
" come on let's go and see what that was " sibella motioned for everyone to fallow her to which they all did...


soon they all made their way back into the the living room...

" were did it sound like that came from ? " sibella asked turning to the others...

" I..I'm not sure.." elsa said itching her head..suddenly they all heard a loud banging sound coming from around them..they all froze in place as they looked around the room trying to find the source of the sound...

" I..did..what is that " tanis asked..

" it sounds like it's coming..from outside ? " sibella said as she headed over to the window...as she peeked out...as all the others gathered around to look out as well...

soon they all heard the banding outside again..

" it's...coming from..on the house it sounds like ? " Phantasma said looking at the ceiling..as the banging continued...


" it..it sounds like someones climbing around out their..." Elsa added..

" who'd be doing that ? it's pouring rain out their ? " winnie informed...

" what if it's the sweet teeth " tanis

" it's probably...nothing to worry about I guarantee it " sibella said sounding a little unsure..

" but you said it's not far fetched " winine said..

sibella looked at everyone and sighed..." okay..so I did..but..we still need to look at the positive.."

everyone looked around..seeming unsure what to think...

" so..let's just think..what could be another explanation for all these sounds "

" oh..the window shutters could be the things causing the banging.." Phantasma pointed out..

" exactly....as they where banging earlier when the storm was passing by.." sibella nodded..

" well what about the mess in the kitchen " winnie pointed out..

" that ..well..it was..." suddenly the banging sound they heard before returned again...though this time wilbie spoke up..

" umm..yeah hears something...why aren't the shutters banging now " he stated..

everyone turned around and notice the same thing..to which they all put their attention to sibella...who sheepishly chuckled..

" what ? I'm sure their's..." she again was cut off as they all heard the banging sound as though it was climbing down the side of the house now...everyone just stood their be it in shock or just curiosity to see what is making all the noise..the it suddenly stopped again..

" I'm not liking this one bit " tanis said.. " I wish the power would come back on now "


" uh yeah just a curious question what if it is the sweet teeth..and is climbing out their ,searching for more treats...ad when he finds none..he decides to eat our delectable flesh instead .." winnie said a bit alarmed.." n-not that I'm scared or anything.." winnie said folding her arms..

he banging sound then continued sounding an awful lot like someone was climbing around out their...

" well if it is sweet tooth...I'm not going to let him dine on me that's for sure " Elsa said sternly.

" yeah..I mean..well I'm a ghost but I don't want no ghoul eating my friends " phantasma nodded..

" well what do we do then..we can' just stand around here all night..how to we stop it "

" are you girls serious ? " sibella shook her head.." look I still think this is all explainable " she said taking a seat on the sofa..

" but think about is sibella..it's quite possible..things like this can happen around here..I mean just last week..didn't we find out about some Rat creature living in the attic that know one knew about." winnie reminded of her of some event that happened in the past..

" well..yes but.." sibella said as she looked around at all the rather concerned expressions..

" and well..remember the incident with the Mirror monster ? " winnie then added

" alright..no need to bring that one up " sibella said with a sigh.."

all the others then turned to wilbie seeming to want answers from him..

" why are you all looking at me ? "

" well that game was your Idea..you must know how we can get rid of it before it decides to have a midnight snack " winnie said crossing her arms..

wilbie itched his head as he though.." well..gee..i didn't even think this game was real..so how would I know how to stop it if it is real.."

" well their's got be something..I mean..we dealt with strange things before..i'm sure we can handle this " Elsa said..

wilbie sighed as he thought for a moment..then looked down at one of his comics on the ground...he then rubbed he chin.." hmm hold on a minute.." he said as he bend down to pick it up. the then looked at the back and read through something.. it was a small article from Mystery Inc ,,

" well..if we want to be sure and safe..we could always try and catch the creature " wilbie suggested pointing to the article, he grinned..as the others all exchanged glances..

15 mins later..


after gathering all the supplies they needed..the ghouls were setting up a small trap in the archway door that led into the lounge...they had set a small wire near the bottom so that who ever stepped in it would set of he trap that would drop a net onto them..

" well that should just about do it for that.." wilbie said reading through the Mystery INC article one that talked about seting traps, Written by Fredrick Jones...


" alright..when and if any feral ghouls try to come in here...they will be caught by this trap ," wilbie said

" great. so now I we don't have to worry about being eaten or anything ." tanis said with a breath of relief..

" yeah now I think we can relax a little " elsa nodded...

sibella though who was sitting on the couch sighed.." alright...so even if this creature is real..you really think I net is going too catch it ? "

" I'd grantee it, this article was written by by Fred jones, he is the master when it comes catching things in traps," wilbie said confidently..


" yeah, so when we hear the creature coming..we'll all hide..and when they set foot in the trap..we pounce on them " winnie grinned baring her claws.." then we'll have them....

" though does anyone no what we'll do once we have ghoul ? " sibella asked..

" we'll...well think of something " winnie chuckled...

outside...


on the roof as the rain poured down.. heavily..temtacles the butler was seen wearing a raincoat and busily batting down many of the hinges on the window..with a hammer, causing a loud bang to be heard..

" make sure to get all of them, this raining windstorm will blow them all off by morning if we don't get them all " Miss grimwood said from an open window..as temptcles just nodded,

" now all we need to work on is getting the power going again.." she said rubbing her chin.." so much for Elsa lighting rod providing power when we needed it during the storm, " she joked..

" well you just finish that up..I'm going to try and reset the system " she sad as she went inside leaving the octopus to finish fixing up the house... ,

" alright now, " she said as she grabbed a hold of her wand and used to cast a spell to light her way as and began to make her way back down stairs.." now where is that dragon, I could use him to light up these torches.." she sad as she made her way down the hall.,

" oh I better check on the girls, " she said as she then deiced to stop by the lounge...

back in the lounge all the ghouls and wilbie were busily playing a card game on the ground...when they all then heard the sound of something approaching the room...

" what's that ? " phantasma whispered..

" i don't know..it could be...that feral ghoul though....we should all get into position " winnie stated as everyone nodded..

soon they all jumped and hid behind the furniture. while Elsa quikl doused the fire again giving them the advanage to hide better...expect for sibella who just stood up..and shook her head.." are you really doing this ? " sibella said raising any eye brow.."

come one it's just to make sure "winnie harshly whispered..to which sibella sighed as she knelt behind the sofa with them,

soon everyone peeked their heads out from where they were hiding...and someone walk into the room..as the heard the trap go off.." kids are you-" Miss grimwood was cut off as she felt something fall on top of her and tanlge all around her,

" Now !" winnie cried out,

" and soon all the ghouls jumped out and tackled the intruder to the ground, as the struggled to push them off..though in no time, with al of them..mostly thanks to Elsa's strength..they all managed pin them to the ground..

" ha we got you now ! " winnie laughed..

" Yeah no eating of anyone here tonight ! " phantasma cackled..

" Girls..may you kindly please get off me and tell me what's going on " they all heard a familiar voice..

" hey...this ghouls sounds a lot like miss grimwood " Phantasma said..

everyone just looked at one another and sighed as they got off...and as soon as they did miss grimwoo stood up and brushed herself off..

" girls..what on earth has gotten into you " she said as she pulled the net off herself...and placed her hands on her hips and eyed them all up..she then notice Elsa's bunny slippers and arched her eyebrow..

" its a game "she responded..

" hehehe..well anyway sorry miss G " they all said as they looked at her sheepishly...

sibella though just sighed and shook she sat on the couch during the whole event..knowing they were going to have some explaining to do...


shortly after..........

Miss grimwood had managed to get the power back on again as all the lights in the house came to life,

"alright...so let me get this straight..you all though you had summoned some feral ghoul who eats nothing but sweets..or people if not pleased.?" miss grimwood said as she tried to understand..

" well..yes..that's the jiff of it..it was a sleepover game.." wilbie explained.." I heard about it..and well thought we'd try...but honestly I thought it'd never work or anything.."

" yeah..but after the power went out because of the storm..we all started getting a little paranoid..with all the strange sounds and the shadows.." tanis said a little shamefully..

" I tried to tell them it was all nothing.." sibella added..

" yeah but you started to believe..admit it " winnie accused her..

" strange sounds you say ? like what ? "miss grimwood asked..

" well we heard all this banging going on outside..like someone was climbing around outside.." Elsa explained while nodding to the others..

miss griwood though then chuckled.." oh..that..that was just temptacles my dear...I head him batten down the roof a bit.like the shutters..he's bang hammering them in..sense the last storm we ad we lost all of them..really we must keep on top of the maintenance here."

" ooh " they all said in unison..

" wait..if that was him...then what about the strange shadow we saw on the wall when the lighting stuck.... " tanis asked..it looked all hairy and creepy like the creature we though we summoned.."

Everyone the began to look arguing to see wht could have caused such a thing....w


" I think I might know.." wilbie then said..as every turned their attention toward him..

" and what can that be ? " miss grimwood asked.

wilbie then pointed over to Barbra..who was standing by the fire place..which caused a large shadow of her's to cast across the wall...one that looked similar to the one they saw before...wilbie went over and picked her up and chuckled..

" I think you gave all us us quite the scare " he petted her a bit..

all the others chuckled.at this.." well that does make a lot of sense.." elsa nodded..

" what did say..explainable " sibella said crossing her arms proudly..

" okay then...so can explain those things.." Winnie said itching her chin.." but wait what about the kitchen !! " she blurted..

sibella winced.." oh..yeah..your not going to like this " she said looking at her teacher who raised an eyebrow..

everyone had gathered into the kitchen...and with the lights on..it was much easier to see what had been done..and from what they saw..it was indeed a mess..pots and pans had fallen all over the floor, food scattered around...and of couse the bowl of fudge that was spilled all over..

" oh dear. " miss grimwood said amazed." just look at this place.." she said shaking her head..

" yeah we found it like this...total mess, ransacked I tell you.." Sibella said..

" oh and my...cookies..I was planning on selling those..I should have known this would happen " miss grimwood said placing her hand on her hips and shaking her head..

" huh? "sibella said no a little confused..

" just look at the fudge " she said pointing towards it, all the ghouls then notice a trail leading away from it..a trail of paw prints...ones that led into the cupboards,

miss grimwood then made her way over it and pulled the cupboard door open.. causing everyone to gaps..

inside they could all see their little dragon friend..matches...snoring away loudly with a bulging belly...he was also covered in fudge spots as well..

" every time..every time a the powers goes out he takes advantage and tries to clear out the kitchen.." miss grimwood said shaking his head...

" matches..I should have known " sibella smirked and rolled her eyes..

miss grimwood then shut the cupboard.." I think he's the closes thing you'll find to having a suger stealing ghoul around here " miss grimwood chuckled.." she then sighed.." I really hope you girls..didn't let such a game go to all your heads..but again.." missgrimwood chuckled." I was your age once..I remember having these sleepovers..so I can understand how over excited one can get with them " she smirked...to which everyone just sheepishly laughed..

later..

so after volunteering to help miss grimwood tidy up the kitchen a bit.everyone soon retunred back the living room where they were already yo finally call it a night..

" well..it's but fun..and a little hectic..I think we all earned a good nights rest " sibella said with a yawn." I think I had enough talk of feral ghouls stealing candy.." she said with her tired eyes..,

" for once I think I agree with you " winnie said .." but you know the rule.."no one is allowed to sleep at a sleepover " winnie grinned tiredly..

" ah..who scares..their's no penalty for not.." sibella said as she slipped into her coffin shaped sleeping bag..as many of the others did the same..ready to call it in for the night..

" well I know I can sleep better knowing their is no such thing s a sweet tooth ghoul tanis said getting comfortable in her sleeping bag..

" winnie snickered.." well I for one am not going to sllee..." she cut herself off as she fall onto her back and began snoring away loudly...

to which caused...wilbie to chuckle.." welp I guess it's official..when she's tired..it's been a long night indeed wilbie said as he placed Barbra back into her cage..and chuckled..as he began to slip into his sleeping bag..." I must say..it's been pretty fun..I mean..had it been any other sleepover " he chuckled..though tiredly, he himself was ready to call it a night as well... and as everyone was soon dozing off for the night...phantasma opened her eyes as she chuckled quietly to herself..she then floated out of her bag and grinned as she hovered over her sleeping friends..

" oh except their is a penalty for sleeping " she whispered gleefully, as she produced a marker in her one hand.. and and can of whipped scream and a feather in the other, all while giggling.. which soon turned into her cackling away like mad...

" go to sleep.." sibella said not opening her eyes..to which phantasma immediately stopped..and sheepishly chuckled to herself...
