I found this art piece on pinterest, with no credit, but after some digging I've discovered that the artist is probably Bill Anton!
Long ago, in the rugged days of the Wild West, cowboys and outlaws shared the land in a tense, unspoken peace. The people roamed in small groups or alone. Among them, young Dutch Van der Linde is finding his own way, and starting to make quite a name for himself, but his "peaceful" exploring is interrupted by a woman that he would never be able to forget - or escape.
✭ Characters:
⍟ Celia Simmons
Growing up in the 19th century, she was taught by her father to stay calm and observant, no matter the danger. Now, with his retirement, her fate is clear: to lead his men into the unforgiving world of gunslingers, deadly plants, and bloodthirsty beasts.
⍟ Dutch Van der Linde
Determined to leave goosebumps on the arms of the toughest men, Dutch Van der Linde has a plan. That plan is to be free, independance is what he dreams of every night. He is a born leader, and has the ache to proof himself worthy of the title of an outlaw.
⍟ Hosea Matthews
Dutch's closest friend and partner in crime - the two men are basically connected at the hip. Matthews is an aspiring actor turned criminal, and is always there to relay on in times of danger.
⍟ Susan Grimshaw
Susan joined the small gang consisting of Van der Linde and Matthews early on. She takes care of everything that gets overlooked and she is not scared of some blood on her hands for the greater good. She is essential to the gang and does not appreciate being overlooked.
This story takes place from the 1870's untill 1899.
Content warnings:
Murder, period-typical racism and sexism, typical outlaw stuff
✭ As the story progresses I will add to the content warnings and the character list, but really explicit stuff will also be addressed at the beginning of a chapter ✭
