Will I Ever Be Yours?

Chapter 1

"Hailey!" my best friend, Jessica called out.

She was once again trying to get my attention as I was off day-dreaming about my crush, Liam Carter. He was the hottest boy on the swimming team and also my biggest crush. Sometimes he always seemed to find a way to invade my thoughts no matter how hard I tried.

I often wonder what it would be like to have a boyfriend like him, but 'prffft' we all know that that's never going to happen! Because hot guys like Liam never fall for geeks like me, but little did I know I was wrong.

"Hailey,your still not paying any attention to me!" Jessica exclaimed.

I mentally rolled my eyes. Why? because what Jessica was babbling about was some date she wanted to set between her dog,which was a chichihua with her neighbours poodle dog, and this is why I was daydreaming in the first place.

"Of course I'm not listening to Jessica because any normal person would not be talking about planning a date for their dogs! Don't you think we should be talking bout prom or finals?

Finals was two weeks away and prom was three weeks away and Jessica and I were in no way prepared for either prom aot finals, and here was Jessica babbling on about her dog's date.

I for one definitely didn't know who I would be carrying to prom, but I mentally hoped that some mircale would occur between now and prom so that Liam would be my date.

Jessica won't have a problem with getting a date because she was beautiful and guys fell at her feet. She had curly brunette hair which hung gracefully at her shoulders, and nice brown eyes with went well with her beautifully tanned skin while I on the other hand,was also beautiful but not as beautiful as Jessica was. I had long curly blonde and a pair of blue eyes and tanned skin as well but nobody was falling at my feet as they did with Jessica.

I was suddenly snapped out of thoughts as a ringtone began to play and I realised it was Jessica's phone as soon as I realised the song being played.

*All the single ladies, all the singles ladies*

"Hello" Jessica said as she answered the phone while I began to dooze off again about Liam.

Damn. He was taking up alot of my daydreams, I thought.

Before I could think about him any further, Jessica was calling me again.

"Sorry Hailey but I gots to go, my mom needs me."

"Ok, well see ya tomorrow" I replied.

I helped Jessica to get her things and walked her to the door where we said our goodbyes once again and she headed to her car. Jessica owned a red BMW 1-series Coupe and it was a pretty sweet ride. I watched as she reversed and headed down the street then I returned inside and to my room.

The house was silent. My parents was away for the week on a major business trip and left the house to me and sister, Rebecca. Days like these when my parents had business plan to attend Rebecca would normally leave and stay by her boyfriend and returned a day before my parents were expected to be back so I had the whole house to myself.

I didn't mind most of the times, I sometimes enjoyed the peace and quiet and then I sometimes wished that Rebecca was home just so we could chat a little or even go out and do something fun because Rebecca and I hardly spent time together because she was always with her boyfriend Blake. Jessica and I always asked them if they were joined at hip so that why they couldn't stay away from each other for a few days.

What can I do?

I thought as I slumped back down on my bed. I had no where to go and no one to go with. Ohh what a fun and active life I had.

I need to get more friends.

I thought as I picked up my phone and logged on to wattpad to see what interesting books could attract my attention. After searching for a while, i grinned in satisfaction as i found a book that would hold my interest for a while.

After reading about what seemed to be hours I was beginning to fall asleep, I just hoped that tomorrow would be better than today i thought before falling into a deep sleep.
