I Promise (A Yeinkook Fanfic) [On Hiatus]

"Yein!"

Soojeong greets the other girl as she enters the class. She smiles and walks happily to them before she greets them. She sits on one of the chair but soon whimpers in pain. Ji ae who notices it immediately get worried and asks her what's wrong

"Aniyo eonni.. It's just my legs hurts a bit because i was so tired yesterday.." Yein replies with a slight smile so her friends doesn't have to worry much about her. Baby Soul quickly kneels down and messages the younger female's legs

"Ouch!" Yein whines in pain as her eonni preassures her legs. Baby Soul quickly let go off it and immediately apoligize

"Yein ah.. I'm sorry.. I really don't mean to hurt you.. I just wanted to help.." Baby Soul apoligize with guilt in her voice. Yein shakes her head and puts her hand on Baby Soul's shoulder

"Aniyo eonni.. I'm fine.." She said with a reassuring smile. The bell suddenly rings which makes Yein slightly startles at the sudden sound. She walks to her seat trying hard to not show pain so her eonnis doesn't have to worry about her. She doesn't like to be a burden to people. The teacher then walks in and the lesson starts. The students were a bit confuse since the schedule was to prepare for the half year special not any lesson

"I know all of you are confuse why i'm here.. But the principal said from this morning until break time we're gonna learn because some of the parents are complaining about no lesson in school.. So now we're gonna start.." The teacher announce which makes the whole class boos at him. He shush them and continues the lesson. After a few minutes suddenly Yein feels her phone vibrating on her pocket and makes her startles a bit. She takes out her phone and hid it under the table so the teacher won't see that she's playing her phone. She sees that there's a new message and opens it

'From : Annoying little jerk

It looks like someone is acting to be in pain huh?'

She furrowed her eyebrows as she reads it. She looks at the boy and he was smirking as he looks at her in a teasing way

'To : Annoying little jerk

First, i'm not acting and second stop being annoying'

Yein takes a glance at him after sending it. The boy just chuckles and looks like he's writing another message in his phone

'From : Annoying little jerk

But being annoying is my job'

He said and smirks as he sees Yein rolling her eyes after reading it. Yein was about to reply his text until suddenly the teacher screams their names which makes them jumps a little on their seats

"Jeon Jungkook! Jung Yein! No texting allowed in class don't you know?" Mr. Kim said sending them scary glares. They froze in their places and Jungkook gulps nervously

"Oh.. Since now we're gonna have a little quiz and you two needs a punishment.. You both are gonna take the quiz at the teacher's room on the upper cupboard.." He says and smiles at them. They sigh knowing once again they have to do something together and Yein legs hurts when she walks. Not wanting to have more problems they just nod and stand up leaving the class. Yein struggles to walk but she hides it as she tries so hard to walk normally. As good as she acts, Jungkook can notice that the girl is struggling to walk but he just let her be. They arrive at the teacher's room and bows at the teachers who's not teaching and staying at the room. They excuse themselves to the cupboard and Yein immediately reaches for the pile of papers on the upper cupboard. She focuses to much on taking the pile of paper which makes her sprain her leg because she's not paying attention much on her injured leg. When she was about to fall suddenly she feels a hand holding on her waist stopping her from falling. She looks at the owner of the hand and sees Jungkook looking at her with a shock expression. She cleares her throat and looks away hiding her red cheeks

"I-I'm fine.. You don't need to.." She said and letting go of his hand on her waist. As soon as he lets go she lost her balance again as she feels the pain on her sprain ankle. He quickly holds her waist again avoiding her from falling and she looks at him in surprise

"Guess you're not that ok.." He said and slightly smile which makes Yein super confused at his kindness to her. Is Jungkook being, kind to me? She questions herself. He takes the pile of papers with his free hand and gives it to Yein for her to hold. They bow to the teacher with Jungkook keeps holding on her waist and walk out of the room. Yein is really hating herself for having a sprain ankle which leads to Jungkook doing his action that he is doing now. She keeps looking down on the floor hiding her blushing cheeks as they walk to their class. When they arrive in front of the class room Yein takes his hand off her waist and immediately hold on to the wall next to her. She looks at the boy next to her that have a confuse face

"Uhm.. I think you better let go of your hand from here.. We don't want rumors right?" She said facing the door in front of them. Jungkook then sigh and nods in agreement. He knows well that they are popular in their school and having a dating rumor is what he wants to avoid. Yein holds on to the wall and walks in after Jungkook does. Mijoo quickly approaches her injured friend and helps her walk back to the seat

"Thanks" she whispers to the older female next to her as she sits down

"Are you ok Miss Jung?" Mr. Lee asks worrying about his student who looks in pain. Yein nods weakly and looks down avoiding all the eyes that is looking at her. Jin notices his friend next to him who looks like he's worrying about her which is really really rare

"Do you like her?" He asks which makes the younger male looks at him in surprise

"What?! No!!" He quickly denies his words

"You never look that worried at a girl before.." He continues teasing the younger male who is already widening his eyes

"A-aniyo.. I'm not worried about anyone.." He said and looks down to his thigh

"Mr. Jeon! Mr. Kim! Pay attention!" Mr. Lee shouts at them and they quickly nods and pays attention. The lesson starts until the lunch time. Yein just stays at the class room because of her legs so the other girls quickly get some sandwiches and milk in the cafetaria and brings it to the class

"Mianhaeyo eonni~~ I really hate to be a burden to all of you.." Yein said guilty as they settle down

"Gwaenchanha maknaee.. It's nothing.." Mijoo reasures the poor maknae and Yein looks at her eyes still pouting

"You're always needing us anyway" Kei jokes which makes all of them laughs. Yein really am greateful to have a friend like them to help her when she's in need. She continues eating her sandwhich with a smile on her face. After the bell rings all the kids sit down with their team mates and Mr. Oh comes in the room and tells them to start practicing. Yein is just seating on her seat with Jungkook seating in front of her. She really hates herself for her injury and being a burden to everyone. She feels guilty because of her sprain ankle they could not practice for the performance

"Ya.. I'm sorry.. Because of me we could not practice" she said afraid to look at the boy in front of him

"It's fine.. I get a time to rest too haha.." He said and laughs a bit. Yein is super confuse at his sudden behavior change. He is suddenly, nice to her. She finally looks at his eyes and gulps

"W-why are you being nice to me?" She said stuttering and she could see Jungkook's change his expression into a surprised one. He soon calms down and opens his mouth

"I'm in the mood too.." He said but there's a glimpse of lying in his voice. Yein just shooks all of her thoughts and nods. The rest of the time is just silence surrounding them. The bell finally rings and before he walks back to his seat Yein swears she saw Jungkook slightly smile at her. She just considers it as her own imagination and looks at Mijoo who is walking back to her seat. They take their bag and Mijoo helps Yein walk until all the way home.
