"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean any harm. By the way, what is your sister's name, young master?" Ye Wenxin stifled her smile and continued her inquiry with the red-haired boy.

"My sister's name is Gu Xiangsi."

"Hmm? That's indeed a rare surname. And what about you, young master? What's your name?" Ye Wenxin had assumed this red-haired boy would be called Long Ao Tian, but hearing his sister's surname felt a bit odd.

(⚡"bone" is "骨" (pronounced "gǔ" in Mandarin). It refers to the hard, structural elements that make up the skeleton of vertebrates.)

"As for me, I'm called Gu Ao Tian," the red-haired boy replied, somewhat awkwardly.

Perhaps his name was genuine, but that surname might be a key to concealing a secret, like a deep-seated familial grudge.

Ye Wenxin suppressed her growing curiosity and continued, "That's a really good name."

Gu Aotian remained silent, uncertain whether he was bad at lying or simply unwilling to engage further with Ye Wenxin.

"Alright then, I'll head in. You two wait here," Ye Wenxin said, waving to them as she entered the girls' dormitory.

A large sign reading "No Males Allowed" was prominently displayed, with two female disciples dressed in outer sect attire standing guard, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.

Cangyu Sect's recruitment event occurred once every three years, the longest interval among the Ten Great Immortal Sects' recruitment periods. The lodging area at the foot of the mountain, originally for outer sect disciples, had been repurposed due to a disaster years ago, causing them to reside within Cangyu Sect.

Ye Wenxin entered without surprise, finding the inside quite simple. The beds were neatly arranged in rows, and groups of girls gathered together, making friends and discussing the upcoming recruitment meeting.

"Excuse me, is there someone named Gu Xiangsi here?" Ye Wenxin asked, but received only shakes of the head. She sighed and moved on to the next room, continuing her search.

The temporary lodging area was vast, hosting over a thousand participants for the recruitment event, with ten people per compartment. After checking seven or eight rooms, she finally heard a faint voice from a corner.

"I... I'm Gu Xiangsi. How can I help you, sister?" Gu Xiangsi looked timidly at Ye Wenxin. When she stood up, she was a head taller than Ye Wenxin, making her wonder if she was really Gu Aotian's sister or perhaps his legendary elder sister.

"Oh, your brother Gu Aotian asked me to find you and ask what you'd like for dinner," Ye Wenxin said, though still curious, refraining from prying further.

Upon hearing Gu Ao Tian's name, Gu Xiangsi took a couple of steps closer to Ye Wenxin, her eyes still revealing fear and unease, like a small animal caught in the gaze of a predator.

"Um, sister, please tell my brother I don't want dinner tonight," Gu Xiangsi replied after a few seconds, her voice growing softer as she spoke, She seemed to hunch slightly, as if trying to hide her prominent chest. She was quite delicate, the kind of beauty that invoked a strong protective instinct.
