"Have you ever wondered what makes life worth living? Is it the thrill of adventure? The safety of routine? Or maybe it's the comfort of knowing that, no matter how ordinary today feels, tomorrow will be waiting, steady and unchanged.
Back in my world, I thought I knew the answer. Life was a steady rhythm, an endless cycle of ordinary days. I'd wake up, ace my exams, and drift back home, watching everyone else struggle with things that barely seemed to matter. I felt like I was missing something. A spark. A purpose. Something that would make life real.
Maybe that's why, when I was suddenly pulled into this world and called a "hero," I felt something stir. For a moment, I thought, *This is it. This is what I've been waiting for.*
But reality hit hard, fast, and brutal. This isn't a story. It's a world that devours the weak, a place that doesn't care if I survive. Here, I'm not a hero—I'm just another piece in a game where I barely matter.
Then a scream cuts through the crowd, sharp and desperate.
"No! I don't wanna do this!" a girl's voice cries, trembling and panicked.
I look over and see her, my age maybe, being dragged forward by two guards. Her heels scrape against the ground, her hands clawing at anything to stop herself. Around me, no one flinches; they barely even look. Just another life swallowed by this place.
And yet... I can't look away. Something in me rebels against this world's cold indifference, even if I don't know why, even if it's pointless. I wonder how much longer I'll be able to hold onto who I was, how much longer until I become just like them.
But even now, I can feel a part of me pushing back. I don't know how I'll survive here. I don't know if I'll ever find the answers I wanted. But I know this: I can't give in. Not yet.
It all started on that fateful day.... The day I will never forget.
