~~~Hudson's pov~~~
I check my phone again for what seems like the hundredth time in the last 10 minutes, hoping she'll text me again, but she probably fell asleep.
Just like I know I probably should fall asleep, but can't.
I change the channel and reach for my phone getting ready to say fuck it and text her when there's a knock at my window.
What the fuck?
I get up and open the curtains to see a red faced Lexi, grinning at me.
I lift up the window. "Are you out of your fucking mind?" I whisper shout at her.
She smiles sheepishly at me and pinches her fingers together, gesturing small amount of space. "Maybe a little" She said.
I shake my head and back up so she can climb into my room.
She hands me a lunch box and climbs through the window then let's out a small huff. "Shit. I know we're not that old, but that wasn't as easy as it used to be" She said.
I raise an eyebrow at her. "Maybe you shouldn't be doing it then."
She shrugs. "And miss out on Christmas sundaes? I think not" She dramatically said.
A smile immediately comes to my face when I think about the tradition we came up with in middle school.
Lexi's mom has been doing the gingerbread house competition since we were in elementary school and there would be so much candy and stuff leftover after it so when wed have a sleepover we'd sneak downstairs and make a Christmas sundae with just about everything that was leftover.
When we got older we'd sneak over to each other's house in the middle of the night and have our ice cream.
When she'd sneak over so much I just kept leaving the ladder out.
I know we could use the front door, but it was more exciting to climb in the window.
"Nope, can't miss our sundaes, especially since we haven't had one in years."
The last time we did this was our senior year before we she went away for college and I was there for Kelly more.
Now that she's home we have a lot of making up to do.
She opens the lunchbox and dumps all the candy and treats on my bed.
She hands me a spoon and takes out the ice cream, putting down a garbage bag then putting the ice cream on top of it.
"Alright, let's dig in" She suggested.
I go for the mini m&ms and the chocolate syrup.
Lexi makes a line through the carton of ice cream so we both have our own side.
"I know this is gonna make me sick in a few hours, but it's worth it" She said.
I nodded. "I know, I'm already thinking about the stomach ache, but it's worth it."
I get a spoonful of vanilla ice cream and put some m&ms and chocolate syrup on the spoon.
The flavors of chocolate and vanilla explode on my tongue that I let out a groan.
"Whoa there buddy... You need me to leave the room so you 2 can be alone?" She teased.
I toss an m&m at her and she giggles at me.
A take a spoon full again. "Did you ever do this in the past, like after we lost touch?"
She pauses her spoonful. "Honestly yeah. Sometimes when I was missing you or reminiscing, especially around this time I'd go out to the store and get everything I'd need and there were many times I wanted to call you up and say what I was doing, but I didn't want to make Brock mad" She said avoiding eye contact.
