I walk down the stairs to see Hudson drinking a beer.

Yeah, he's not coping well.

I take a seat next to him and put my hand on his and squeeze it. "She's growing up, but just think you have a new stage of life to enjoy with her."

He takes a sip from the beer bottle and I focus on how sexy he looks when he swallows. "I know and I'm excited about that, but now comes a very big downfall to this new chapter of life" He said.

I laugh. "Yeah she'll be your typical hormonal teenage girl, but she's a good kid so I wouldn't worry too much."

He shook his head. "It's not that. She can get pregnant now" He said.

Ohhhh. He's worried about history repeating itself.

I squeeze his hand. "Hud... I wouldn't worry too much. She's a good kid with a good head on her shoulders, plus you should've heard the conversation I just had with her so I wouldn't worry too much."

He lets out a sigh and rubs his face. "I know, but I'll still worry about that, especially when she gets her first boyfriend" He said.

I laugh and shakey head. "God help whoever that boy is because he won't know what he's getting himself into."

He snorts and takes a sip of his beer. "You got that right. So how'd your talk go?" He asked.

"It went good. She wasn't embarrassed like I figured she'd be."

"That's good. She's ok?" He asked.

I give him a small smile. "She's fine. She had a few questions and her cramps aren't that bad, plus I gave her some tips on different things. She's going to be fine just getting to know the part of her that she'll have for many years."

He runs a hand through his hair. "This was what I was worried about the when Kelly left. Who would be here to help Piper when she got her period? I would've if you weren't here, but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable" He said.

"I know. I was saying in my head why couldn't she actually be a mother."

He flips his hand over and squeezes mine giving me goosebumps. "I'm glad it was you to help her with this. We can all wish Kelly would actually be a mother, but we know that won't happen and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my girls" He said making me smile.

"I appreciate that Hud. I love those girls like they're my own and I would do anything for them."

"I know you would, that's why I'm happy they have you and that you're back" He said.

"Me too Hud "

"Ok no more sappy shit" He teased.

"Ok" I cracked a smile.

"Ok, now some more serious matters... What are you doing on Friday?" He asked leaning in.

My stomach flips and my mind runs wild with possibilities.

He's gonna ask me out on a date!

I lean in, briefly looking at his lips. "Nothing that I'm aware of, why?"

He leans in some more. "I'm going Christmas shopping for the girls and wanted to know if you wanted to come with me" He said.

My stomach drops a bit, but I can't get my hopes up too much.

"Sure, I'd love to. I have to get their gifts anyway so if you're with me I know what to get."

He pulled back. "Perfect. We can go around lunch time and hit up the Chinese food place for dinner like we used to" He suggested.
