I kick my boot against the snow, really wishing I just stayed inside and went into another room to give them privacy.

Fucking Kelly had to come back right when I'm figuring out things with Hudson.

"Fuck this, it's too cold for this" I huff rushing back inside.

I step inside and hear nothing.

Maybe they took their conversation upstairs.

I walk further in the house and see Hudson sitting on the couch.

"Everything ok?"

"They're fine, they went upstairs to watch a movie needing some sister time" He said.

I take a seat next to him. "how'd it go?"

He blows out a breath. "Good. Piper wants nothing to do with Kelly, like I figured and Liv does, but was worried her sister would be mad at her or not since she wants to get to know Kelly, but they talked it out and they're spending time with each other" He said.

Poor Liv for being nervous about if Piper would be mad at her or not for wanting a relationship with Kelly, but I'm glad Piper worked it out with her.

"They're good kids Hud, but how are you feeling about this?"

He looks at me."I want you to know that I'm not getting back together with my ex. If she wants to be in the girls lives then we'll co parent, but we'll never be together again" He said giving me goosebumps that he felt the need to let me know he doesn't want her anymore.

I want to explore more into why he felt the need to tell me that, but with Kelly being back I don't think the timing is good to explore what could be since he'll have to worry about the girls and Kelly.

"I figured that, but do you think she's back for good?"

He shrugs. "I don't know. She said she's found who she wants to be now and she wants to be in the girls lives and she did say she wants me back, but I shut that down immediately" He let me know again.

"Wow."

"Yeah. I'm gonna text her and let her know that we can go do something with Liv, but I'm going to be around until there's trust and comfort" He said.

"That's a good idea."

"Yeah, but Liv and I want to know if you want to come with us?" He asked.

I smiled. "I'd love to if it helps you and Liv be more comfortable, plus I'd love to mess with Kelly."

He snorts. "I figured you'd say that. When you walked in earlier as soon as she heard your voice she scowled" He said making me laugh.

"Oh I'm definitely coming then. Let me know when you're gonna do this."

"I will" He said.

I reach out for his hand. "Ok, now tell me how you're really handling all this."

He blows out another breath. "I don't know. I'm worried that she's going to split again and break the the girls hearts again" He said.

I nodded. "I know, I'm worried about that as well especially with Liv being at such an impressionable age."

"Exactly! I don't want her to get attached just for Kelly to up and leave again, but I also don't want her to miss out on having a mother if Kelly is back for good" He said.

I scoot closer and pull him into a hug which results into him putting his whole body weight on me and us falling backwards.

"Oof" We both said when we hit the couch.
