~~~Lexi's pov~~~

The away team passes the ball to one of their teammates, but our team intercepts that pass and chucks it to Piper, who is wide open at the other end of the Court.

She dripples down the court, the other team still on her heels, but she's still far ahead of them.

She goes up for the layup, bringing her team 2 points higher.

Piper is the tallest girl on the team, so it was natural that she would be chosen for center.

"She's doing so good" Hudson said.

She was really nervous so we were expecting her to mess up a bit, but she's been killing it the whole time.

She's made a lot of great assists and she's up to 10 points in the game.

"I know."

With Piper being the tallest girl on the varsity team, it was only natural for her to be the center.

Her teammate passes her the ball and she makes a bank shot, perfectly hitting the top right corner of the red box in the middle of the backboard.

"Yay Piper! " Liv jumped up and down.

The girls finish the game with a 10 point lead, a pretty good win for the first game.

The girls go back in to the locker room to get changed and we wait for Piper on the bleachers.

She emerges from the locker room all smiles and runs over to us when she sees us.

"We won!" She said.

Hudson gave her a hug and kiss her on the top of her head. "Good job honey" He said.

I smile at her. "Good job kiddo, I knew you could do it."

She smiled. "Thanks, but can we go out to eat somewhere I'm starving" She said.

Hudson chuckles. "Sure, where do you want to go? It's your choice since we're celebrating your win" He said.

She thought about it. "Ok, I could go for some pizza" She said.

Everyone nods in agreement.

"Ok, do you want to go to the pizzeria or get delivery for home?" He asked.

"Home, I want to be comfortable" She said.

He nods. "Ok, sounds good with me "He said.

He orders our food through doordash and when we arrive home it's there 5 minutes later.

As we're eating dinner Hudson and I look at each other and we both nod silently saying it's time to tell the girls.

"Hey girls.. there's something we want to talk to you guys about "He said.

They both turned to us, Piper with furrowed brows. "Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.

We both smile and nod. "Yes" We both say at the exact same time.

He reaches over to grab my hand. "Lexi and I have decided to start dating" He said making both their eyes go wide.

Piper grins looking back and forth at us. "Wait you're serious?" She asked.

We nodded. "Yes. We both like each other and want to give it a try, but we want to make sure it's ok with you guys."

They look at each other and smile. "We're ok with it, more than ok" Piper said.

I let out a breath and Hudson squeezes my hand.

"Can we still call you Aunt Lexi?" Liv asked.

"Oh course. I know this may be weird since I'm your dads girlfriend now, but you can call me whatever you're comfortable with whether that's Aunt Lexi or just Lexi, it's completely up to you girls."
