This is the story of Jonah, the man and prophet who did the unthinkable and tried to run from God. The story always felt out of place in the Bible, at least to me. Almost everything seems to follow a set timeline from the creation of man and all through the founding of Israel to the glories of the Christ. Then there are the tales of Job and Jonah. They feel random, an extra puzzle piece to the grand referential book that is the Bible. At least that's how it feels like to me; could just be ignorance talking. I am yet to finish the Bible in it entirety after all.
