I walk to the table the girls are at and take a seat.

"What did he want?" Piper asked acting all protective.

I reach out my hand to hold hers and gently squeeze it.

I love this girl.

"Nothing, we just talked about the past then I told him to shove it."

She nods and smiles.

I turn to liv. "Are you excited for Christmas?"

Christmas is in a few days.

She practically vibrates in her seat. "Yes! I can't wait to see what Santa brings me" She said.

"I think he'll be very good to both of you."

"Are you going to stay over on Christmas Eve so you wake up to have Christmas morning with us?" Piper asked.

"Yes. I want to participate in all the traditions you guys do then we'll go over to my parents house in the afternoon for Christmas dinner."

The both smile.

When they finish up with their treats, I grab Hudson something and we head home.

When we get to the house the girls do their own thing and I sit on the couch and read a book, waiting for Hudson to get home.

The front door opens and shuts and he walks in looking distressed.

His tie is undone and his hair looks like he's been running his hand through it multiple times.

When he sees me on the couch and gets a look of relief.

I stand up and open my arms, making him fall into them.

He puts his head in my neck and inhales. "It's done. She's out of our lives" He muttered against my skin.

I rub my hands up and down his back. "Good."

He pulls back. "After the trial I pulled her aside to get some answers on how everything changed and she owned up to everything, I was very surprised" He said.

"What did she say?"

"Basically that she didn't want to be a mother and the only reason she stayed was because she felt guilty abandoning Piper at the time like her mom did" He said.

"Wow, that's fucked up."

He snorts. "You're telling me, but now we don't have to worry about her again" He said.

"No we don't. Oh... guess who I ran into at the bakery."

"Who?" He asked.

"Brock."

His eyes widen. "No shit. What's he doing here?" He asked.

"Apparently he's here with his girlfriend to visit his family."

"Wow. Did he say anything to you?" He asked.

"Yeah. We said hello and everything, but I asked him why he lied about kissing me during the 7 minutes in heaven game and he acted like a total ass about it, but at least I got the closure I wanted then he started to be an ass so I said he was a horrible lover and you're the best I ever had."

He grinned. "Damn right I am" He said proudly.

He leans in to kiss me and he deepens the kiss.

"Ewwww. Can you not make out with your children in the room?" Piper asked.
