Always Been You

Chapter 26

I stand back and smile as I watch the girls decorate their cookies.

Lexi dots some frosting on Liv's nose making her laugh.

I always dreamed of this, but never imagined it would happen.

The cookie Liv is working on is a mess, but the one Piper is working on doesn't have that much icing because she knows I don't like that much icing.

Piper stopped believing in Santa Claus a couple years ago and our tradition is to decorate cookies for santa so when she stopped believing and realized it was me she would make cookies with not so much icing.

Liv on the other hand is drowning her cookie in icing and having a blast doing it.

"Ok my little cookie monsters... Go get ready for bed and we can watch an hour of A Christmas Story."

"Yes!" Liv cheered.

Another tradition we've been doing is watching a little bit of A Christmas Story before they go to bed.

It's on for 24 hours so you can't go wrong.

They go get ready and I help Lexi with the mess the kids left behind.

"I planned something for us when the girls go to bed."

I have a Jacuzzi tub in my bathroom that she's been dying to use so I figured we can relax and watch a Christmas movie from my laptop.

"Oh yeah?" She asked.

"Yeah. Plus I figured we could open our presents that the girls can't see."

She bit her lip. "Sounds good to me" She said.

We clean up everything and the girls come back down and find their spots on the couch.

I sit next to Lexi with Liv on my side and Piper on Lexi's side.

We settle in to watch a little bit of the movie until Liv starts yawning then I put the girls to bed.

While I'm waiting for them to fall asleep I set up the bathroom for Lexi and I.

After I'm done I check on the girls and see they're asleep so Lexi and I get their presents.

I'm on my second trip with presents when I trip over Liv's new bike.

"Fuck" I whisper shouted making Lexi laugh.

I joined in on the laugher.

"You good?" She whispered.

"Yeah I'm good."

We finish with the presents and head upstairs to exchange our presents.

We said we'd get each other couples presents after we went to the mall and looked around Spencers so we got some ideas.

We also got other presents the we can open around the girls, but the adult ones are just for us.

When I enter my bedroom I see Lexi sitting on my bed with 2 bags.

I go to my closet to get hers and sit on the bed across from her so I can see her reaction.

"Should we go at the same time?" She asked.

"Yeah we can do that."

I hand her one of the bags and she hands  me one.

I search through the bag of until I see a pair of underwear.

I open them up and bust out laughing when I see what's on it.

There's a picture of Lexi hugging my junk saying I licked it so it's mine.
