My Fake Reality

Some folks say that people like me

Are just a bunch of fakes.

And every time I hear it

It just makes my head ache.

They can't seem to understand

That we're real humans too.

That we are no different to them.

They haven't thought it through.

None of it makes any sense

On why they hate us so

'Cause all they use to back them up

Is a book from long ago.

I'm not against religion

And I don't want to get in the way,

But how am I being comfortable

Ruining your day?

"But God gave you that body!"

"So you can't go on and change!"

But what I don't understand

Is something rather strange.

If God gave me my body,

He'd know that I am trans

So really it's a just a simple quest

To find out who I am.

But sometimes people are rude

Because they're all a bunch of asses

They have no reason to hate on us

They're just going with the masses.

But when I hear these comments

I feel a bunch of self-doubt.

Which fills me with a bad mood

And causes me to act out.

I don't like living in a world

Where I'm not seen as real.

Where I can't be myself

Without there being a big deal.

So that's the life of someone

Stuck in a fake reality

I'm just praying that it's all okay

And won't end in fatality.
