I agreed to play this game for one reason only: I had questions too, ones I needed answers to. But of course, Mattia thought he was in control. Well, not for long.

"Okay, let's start. My turn." Mattia leaned back with that cocky smirk of his. "Who's Mike?"

I looked at him, knowing damn well he was jealous. "Someone."

His jaw tightened. "You've gotta be fucking kidding me. Someone? Who the hell is he really?"

I raised an eyebrow, keeping my cool. "I answered. Now it's my turn."

He was pissed. I could see it in his eyes, the way they darkened. "I swear, Sophia, I'm not playing this fucking game if you keep answering like that. It's like I'm not getting any real answers."

I sighed. "Fine. He's an old friend."

Mattia gave me a hard look but finally sighed. "Your turn."

I took a deep breath. "Mattia-"

"Wait," he cut me off. "Is he just a friend, or-" he paused, stumbling over his words like he didn't know how to even ask.

"Or?" I said, acting all innocent, but inside I was kinda dying. "No, Mattia. The answer is no."

He blinked, and I could almost see the relief wash over him. Goddammit, he was such an ass sometimes.

"Now, let me ask my question," I said, barely holding back a smirk.

"Yeah, go ahead," he said, a little too quickly, like he'd finally relaxed.

"Who's Gigi?" I threw the question out there, watching his face like a hawk.

He hesitated, then smiled-a smile that screamed victory. "Someone."

I could almost laugh at how smug he was, playing my own game back at me. But this wasn't over. Not even close.

I watched him closely as the question hung in the air.

His face changed, just for a second, before he smiled like he had this in the bag.

"She's been my friend for five years," he said, leaning back like it was no big deal.

I felt something ugly twist in my chest. Five years? "And... was there... you know, anything between you two?" The words fumbled out, my voice all shaky. "Like, were you with her? I mean-" I hated that I couldn't just ask straight.

He didn't even hesitate. "Yeah."

I froze. My blood ran cold, but I tried to keep calm. "Yeah, like, you kissed her or something? And that's it?" My voice was steady, but the anger bubbled underneath. Jealousy, too.

He looked me dead in the eyes, completely unfazed. "No. I didn't just kiss her. I meant everything."

I blinked, and suddenly, it was like someone had punched me in the stomach. Everything? What the fuck does he mean, everything?

I clenched my fists, trying to hold it together, but inside, I wanted to scream.

I swallowed hard, forcing myself to act like it didn't hurt. Like I didn't care. Everything, huh? Fuck that. I could play this game. I could be calm.

I looked at him, trying to hide the chaos in my head. "Okay. Whatever." I forced a smile, trying to make it seem like I was completely unfazed. "It's your turn now. Ask away."

I leaned back, crossing my arms over my chest, trying to act like I didn't give a single shit.

But inside? Inside, I was a fucking mess.

Mattia's smirk didn't fade as he leaned forward, eyes twinkling. "I have a better idea."

I raised an eyebrow, not sure if I was ready for whatever the hell he was about to suggest. "What kind of idea?"

He stretched his arms out like he was about to drop some genius plan. "How about a bet?"

A bet? What the hell? My curiosity piqued, but I kept my poker face. "A bet?"

"Yeah," he said, grinning. "If you win, you get to ask for whatever you want. If I win, I get to ask for something."

I thought about it for a second. It sounded pretty tempting. A chance to get something out of him? Yeah, that was worth considering.

"Alright," I said, pretending to think it over. "I want the details first."

Mattia's grin widened, clearly enjoying how I was biting. "Okay, here's the deal. You call someone, and if they pick up, you win. If they ignore you, I win."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "That's it? A phone call?"

He shrugged. "Pretty simple, right? The game's in your hands. You up for it?"

I hesitated, considering the challenge. Would they pick up? Or would I be stuck with Mattia winning? But there was no way I was backing down now.

"Fine. Let's do it," I said, my voice steady, though my stomach twisted with anticipation. "You're on."

I stood there, phone in hand, thinking about the decision I was about to make. Jenny was always up at this time, so I figured I'd call her. She was always available.

Alright, let's make this work in our favor. I pressed the number, my heart racing, but I tried to keep calm.

The phone rang. The first ring was slow, dragging on. Will she pick up? The first ring ended, but no answer.

I glanced at Mattia, who was watching me, his eyes full of confidence. He looked like he was already sure he'd won. He smiled a little, but I kept my composure, waiting.

The phone rang again. The same sound filled my ears, but still no answer from Jenny. Damn it, why isn't she picking up?

Mattia smiled wider, thinking he had this in the bag. The third ring passed, and still no response. My heart started to race, but I kept my cool.

In the end, the rings stopped, and Jenny never picked up. Mattia burst into laughter, clearly pleased with himself, thinking he'd won.

Mattia looked at me with that cocky smile, clearly about to declare his victory. But before he could speak, I cut him off.

"Wait," I said, holding up a hand. "You need to call someone too. If they pick up, I'll hear your judgment, which will probably be as stupid as you are."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by my challenge. "This is easier than you think," he replied confidently.

Without wasting a second, he grabbed his phone and dialed a number. I had no idea who he was calling, but the smug look on his face made me think it didn't matter to him.

The phone rang four times before someone finally picked up.

"Hey, babe, how's it going?" came a voice, smooth and familiar.

Mattia didn't say a word. He just ended the call, staring at me with that same arrogant grin.

"I win," he said, his voice dripping with confidence.

I didn't know who the hell he called, the way he shut down the conversation made my shocked

His stupid smirk made my blood boil.

"Alright, asshole," I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest. "Let's just fucking get this over with. What's the punishment? Spit it out."

Mattia didn't even flinch. He looked up at me, his lips curling into that infuriating grin that made me want to punch him and kiss him at the same time. "Relax, bitch," he said, sitting up and putting his phone down. "It's simple. Just a kiss. A tiny one." He held up his fingers, pinching the air like it was nothing. "Like, this small. 🤏"

I blinked at him, my jaw dropping. "Are you fucking kidding me right now?" I barked, throwing my hands in the air. "You dragged this shit out for a kiss? Goddammit, Mattia!"

"Haha, what's the big deal?" he said, leaning back with a smug look. "It's not like I asked for your soul. Unless..." He raised an eyebrow, and I swear I almost lunged at him.
