The Sydney Thunder defeated the Perth Scorchers in a high-scoring match to maintain their lead in the points standings. With an over remaining, they secured their triumph by riding on opener Georgia Voll's undefeated 97 as they chased 170.

In a 46-run opening partnership with Chamari Athapaththu (9) Voll was the dominating partner, and the pattern persisted throughout the innings. In order to give the pursuit some momentum, she contributed 63 runs off 41 balls with Heather Knight. She finished it off swiftly hitting three boundaries in the last three deliveries of the innings.

The Perth Scorchers were able to put up a strong total earlier in the day because of the important contributions made by their senior duo of Sophie Devine (44), and Beth Mooney (97). The pair's 112-run partnership served as the innings' cornerstone, as it struggled without any more contributions. When Mooney was dismissed for 97 by Shabnim Ismail in the last over of the innings, she lost out on a great deal. Devine, one of the two victims of Taneale Peschel in the penultimate over, also lost out on a half-century. The innings lost some momentum in the latter parts of the innings due to Peschel's strikes and Mooney's exit.

As a result, the Perth Scorchers finished in fourth place on NRR with eight points, along with four other clubs.

Brief Scores: Sydney Thunder W 173/3 (Georgia Voll 97*) defeated Perth Scorchers W 170/5 (Beth Mooney 97, Sophie Devine 44; Taneale Peschel 3–28) by 7 wickets.
