Charlie drove me around town and showed me where to find everything that I needed, hoping that the Alpha would give me the option to join the pack.

"Rogues are relatively looked down upon in any pack, however, because you were rescued from a rogue encampment and didn't just 'wander' into pack territory, I don't see why an exception can't be made.." Charlie gave the rainy windshield a hopeful smile as he rattled on.

I have a pack and a home. I want to go back to my dad, I don't know if I want to stay in this strange place. I don't know anyone here besides some of the hospital staff and Charlie.

I decided to keep that to myself. I didn't want to hurt Charlie's feelings. It made him so happy, thinking I would stay and be part of the pack. I like Charlie and would prefer not to be the one to take the smile off of his face.

We pull up to a beautiful stone mansion. Adorned with gorgeous gardens under the front windows and a fountain in the center of a circular driveway. Their packhouse is bigger than Silver Eclipse's and much prettier. Charlie told me in his rambles that Bloon Moon was the second largest pack in America aside from one on the East Coast, which he said was related to their Alpha, so the alliance between them is the most powerful in the world. I couldn't imagine having that kind of responsibility.

As we get closer to the door, my anxiety level rises, and my heart starts pounding out of my chest. Charlie opens the door for me, and I'm welcomed into a very minimalistic, modern style home. The pack house filled with the welcoming smell of lunch and young wolves are less than gracefully rough housing and rolling throughout the entirety of it.

CRASH!

One of the teenage wolves loses balance and falls back into the desk in the hallway. A very wise, very beautiful woman emerges from the kitchen and scolds the young wolves.

"If we can not take care of our belongings, young ones, you will have no belongings to care for." She spoke calmly. At almost looked as if she was gliding as she moved. The teenager bared his neck to show submission to the woman before she turned to address me.

"Ah! You must be the young wolf everyone is buzzing about!" She exclaimed as she approached me with her arms open. As she embraced me, she explained, "The entire pack had been keeping updated on the strong young wolf that was delivered to the hospital's doorstep and was very impressed by the recovery that was made."

It was strange to me that an entire group of people were so fixated on my improvement, but something about it just made me feel good. Outside of Uncle James, Silver Eclipse's Alpha, and my father, I'm not sure how many of my pack members would go through the trouble.

"I'm Lyssa Moon, the former Luna and Alpha Eros' mother." She bowed slightly as she smiled at me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Moon. I'm Lilith King, and I'm from the Silver Eclipse Pack." I bared my neck to show my respect and submission. She wasn't my Luna, but she deserved the same level of respect.

"How interesting. Why would a Rogue encampment in the state of Oregon have a young wolf from a pack in Arizona?" She raised her eyebrow at me inquisitively, turning to leave. "The Goddess works in mysterious ways." She turned to wink at me as she left the room, leaving me to feel as though she knew something I didn't.

Charlie rocked nervously on his feet as his eyes clouded over and a frown formed on his face. "Okay, Lilith, the Alpha is ready to meet you now." He outstretched his hand and walked me through the hall and up the stairs. As I approached a door, a strange tingling started in the back of my brain. My heart rate spiked again, and I felt as though I was being tugged into the room.

What's in there? Is this the Alpha's office? Why do I feel so strange?
Met with the sweet, earthy smell of mahogany and thyme. Selene began to take control of my legs.

"What is that irresistible smell?" You would think she was purring. "Lilith, we need to find its source. Please?" She almost broke the door down as Charlie opened it for us to walk in. My eyes frantically searched for something, someone I knew was in the room. Until my eyes landed on him, studying papers on his desk.

His black tossled hair, the way his glasses perfectly sat on his face. His green button down perfectly matched his tan, olive toned skin. He paid no mind to our existence, but I was covered in sweat. His eyes left the papers and met mine over his glasses, causing a jolt of electricity to run the length of my body.

"Mate!" Selene proudly exclaimed.
