Chapter 37 : Movie Night

The living room was transformed into a cozy mini-theater, the excitement palpable as everyone prepared for a family movie time. Thick curtains covered the large windows, plunging the room into a pleasant darkness despite the morning sunlight outside. Mattresses and plush cushions were spread out on the floor, creating a comfortable space for everyone to lounge together.

Bowls of freshly popped popcorn, trays of crispy chicken wings, and steaming hot pizzas filled the air with an irresistible aroma. Jugs of colorful fruit juices and an array of chips completed the spread, making it impossible not to feel the festive spirit.

Taehyung made sure Jungkook had the fluffiest cushions to lean on, while Yoongi and Jimin settled into a corner, with Yoongi carefully fussing over Jimin's comfort. Bo Ah and Seok Woo were on one side, casually chatting as they arranged the snacks, and Hoseok and Yoonji laughed over an inside joke, adding to the lively atmosphere.

The Shins joined in, trying to blend with the cheerful energy, though Mi Rae couldn't resist sneaking glances at Taehyung, who remained oblivious, focused only on his Bun. Meanwhile, Hari seemed to simmer in quiet jealousy at the camaraderie and genuine happiness in the room.

"Alright, what are we watching?" Hoseok asked, his voice full of anticipation.

"Something light and fun!" Jungkook chirped, his doe eyes sparkling with excitement.

As everyone settled into their spots, the movie started playing, and laughter soon filled the room, creating a sense of warmth and togetherness despite the underlying tensions.

The living room was divided into cozy sections as everyone picked their spots for the movie. Taekook, ever the affectionate pair, shared a mattress with Taehyung lying comfortably on his side, propped on one arm while Jungkook leaned against his chest, holding a bowl of popcorn. Taehyung occasionally stole pieces from Jungkook's bowl, teasing him with playful smirks.

On the next mattress, Yoonmin shared a sweet moment. Yoongi had Jimin snugly tucked into his side, ensuring his pregnant husband was well-supported with cushions. Jimin, giggling softly, fed Yoongi pieces of chicken wings between sips of his juice.

Hoseok and Yoonji claimed another mattress, laughing and sharing anecdotes while stealing bites of chips and pizza. They occasionally glanced at each other with knowing smiles, radiating comfort and compatibility.

Bo Ah and Seok Woo sat together on their own mattress, sharing a sense of pride as they watched their family enjoying the moment. Seok Woo occasionally whispered funny comments to Bo Ah, making her chuckle while sipping on her juice.

The Shins tried to mimic the cozy setup. Hari and Jaemin sat awkwardly together, with Hari stealing judgmental glances at others while Jaemin focused on the screen. Ji Ho and Min-Seok, on the other hand, seemed slightly uncomfortable but tried to appear at ease.

Mi Rae, meanwhile, sat on her mattress alone, fidgeting and occasionally tossing longing glances at Taehyung and Jungkook. Her fake pout and dramatic sighs went unnoticed as the couples were immersed in their own worlds.

Despite the contrasting dynamics, the atmosphere in the room remained lively as everyone settled into the movie, laughter and lighthearted banter filling the air.

Under the shared blanket, Taehyung's hand mischievously roamed, brushing against Jungkook's waist, sending shivers down his spine. The darkness of the room, coupled with the sounds of the movie, masked their playful yet intimate exchange.

Jungkook's breath hitched, his cheeks flushed a rosy pink, and his doe eyes widened slightly as he tried to maintain his composure. He pressed his lips together, suppressing a gasp when Taehyung's fingers gently traced patterns on his hip, teasing him further.
