For as long as Mira roberts could remember she never felt entirely whole, she lived in a relatively large home south of London with her brother and father, and of course her elf misty.
Her mum died a young age and thats when her father began being cold and distant, he worked for the ministry and half the time you couldn't tell if he was being genuine in any conversation so it mainly left Benjamin and Mira alone most days with misty raising them

August 3rd 1991, a week before Mira's 11th birthday
It was a foggy summers day, the air humid with a sense of relief all around as she arose, her back aching from a bad position she was in during sleep.
"Agh- shit" she mumbled quickly, sitting up running her fingers through her long lightish brown wavy hair. She could smell the scent of freshly cooking eggs from downstairs in the kitchen. Mira got up adjusting herself as she walked down, her brother already at the table, his legs propped up on the chair in front of him. His hair nearly as mine, messy and bedridden.
Misty turns around as she fixes me and Benjamin a plate snapping with her long elf fingers and it becoming at its place in front of our seats. "Good morning young mistress, misty didnt want to disturb you" said the young but wise old house elf.
"Oh no, it's alright." Mira said back as you sit down next to your brother "...is um- is dad home yet?" Mira said looking away from the two in the same room as her.
"No young mistress, misty is sorry. Master roberts is still at his work." Misty replies
Mira, now picking at her food looks away and nods, a faint sense of relief and sadness washing over her soft expression.

Suddenly as Benjamin and Mira were chatting about professional quidditch, a large cream brown owl bursts through our windows carrying a small white letter in the clasps of its feet, Benjamin catching it before handing it to his sister and she gasps loudly
"Is this my-?" She said excited, she knew it would happen soon but was excited none the less. "Hogwarts letter" he finishes ; "
