Naturally, Ye Wenxin couldn't even share this secret with Ling Jue. If Ling Jue found out about her discovery, Ye Wenxin might end up being dragged to Yaowang Valley.

"But aren't you going to participate in the Alchemy Courtyard's recruitment? I ended my seclusion early just for this recruitment," Huang Hanyan asked, puzzled. She knew of Ye Wenxin's complicated relationship with Ling Jue, yet here Ye Wenxin was, seemingly giving up on alchemy for now.

"Well, the outer sect keeps me busy," Ye Wenxin replied awkwardly. Lately, she's been engrossed in mastering the Soul-Calming Eighteen Needles, planning to use it as an alternative method to treat Ling Jue.

As for alchemy, as long as she understood herbs and formulas, she could practice at her own pace.

Of course, she couldn't explain this to anyone. Her secrets were too numerous, and revealing one could lead to others being exposed, ultimately causing more harm than good.

"Busy, huh? But I heard about a female disciple who's always being punished during classes and has even become quite famous in the inner sect," Huang Hanyan laughed. Despite disliking Wen Yiming, she had to admit that he kept her informed about the happenings in the outer sect.

Embarrassed by the familiar description, Ye Wenxin coughed, "You know how it is, blankets are so cozy. They keep me from getting up every day."

"Blankets? Isn't your roommate named Baili Mu?"

Huang Hanyan didn't catch Ye Wenxin's joke, confusedly asking whose name was "blanket." Realizing she'd revealed her concern for Ye Wenxin, she stopped.

Ye Wenxin looked surprised, "Didn't you just finish your seclusion? How do you know so much about my situation?" She quickly figured out who had told Huang Hanyan everything.

"I'm just concerned about my debtor," Huang Hanyan replied, not elaborating, though she seemed a bit uncomfortable.

"Right, because I'm your debtor," Ye Wenxin teased, checking the time and then looking back at Huang Hanyan.

"Remember to eat, Sister Hanyan. I have class this afternoon, so let's talk later." Ye Wenxin's tone was casual, but Huang Hanyan seemed a bit reluctant. Watching Ye Wenxin stand, she hesitated before getting up and dusting off her skirt.

"Sister, you have a small flower on your skirt," Ye Wenxin pointed out, indicating a petal stuck to Huang Hanyan's hem.

"Where? I can't see it," Huang Hanyan looked down, puzzled. Her inner sect attire was a mix of red and white, but she saw no sign of a petal.

"It's a small white flower. Hold still, I'll get it for you," Ye Wenxin approached and gently removed the petal from her skirt.

"I really can't see it," Huang Hanyan remarked, gazing at the tiny white flower that seemed out of place amidst the vibrant blooms around them.

"Yes, but it's quite cute," Ye Wenxin smiled, placing the petal in Huang Hanyan's hand.

The white petal fell softly, and Ye Wenxin's fingers brushed its edges. Huang Hanyan felt a tickle in her palm, the sensation oddly spreading to her heart, leaving a peculiar feeling.

But in front of her was just a thirteen-year-old girl, which made Huang Hanyan feel oddly shy. Trying to act natural only made her more awkward.
