Hei Tong's beautiful, dark eyes were filled with mischief, looking every bit the rascal. Though Ye Wenxin had originally teased Hei Tong into becoming a thief, she realized Hei Tong truly had the knack for it.

If the ancestors of Cangyu Sect knew Hei Tong had become like this, they might just descend from the heavens to strip her of her crow feathers.

The more Ye Wenxin thought about it, the more amused she became, trying hard to stifle her laughter as she watched Hei Tong toss aside a qiankun pouch.

The senior brother, who had been devastated by his loss, was overjoyed to see his pouch returned. But upon opening it and finding it empty, he sat back down, eyes hollow, as if he'd lost the world.

"Sigh, that thief was amazing; I couldn't even see what she looked like. You're really pitiful, Senior Brother. Tell you what, go find Fatty and say I sent you; he'll know what to do," Ye Wenxin offered, seeing potential in the brother and taking him under her wing to expand her influence in the outer sect.

No matter how useless these disciples might be, Ye Wenxin could employ them to sell her alchemical creations. Regardless, Ye Wenxin never suffered a loss.

"Thank you, Big Sister, thank you!" The outer disciple knelt, knocking his head on the ground in gratitude, never expecting his misfortune to lead to a new beginning.

Ye Wenxin waved off his thanks, indicating it was nothing, and continued on her way, sensing the shadow behind her swiftly approaching.

It seemed Hei Tong intended to snatch her qiankun pouch.

With a slight smirk, Ye Wenxin easily dodged Hei Tong's attempt. Having taught Hei Tong the art of the Phantom Steps herself, Ye Wenxin, as the teacher, knew its weaknesses well, particularly the vulnerability around the feet—a well-timed move could seize it in three breaths.

Yet Ye Wenxin wasn't in a hurry to deal with Hei Tong. She stood still, watching as Hei Tong circled her. Ye Wenxin didn't close her eyes, fixating intently on the southwestern direction.

Hei Tong spun faster, attempting to confuse Ye Wenxin with speed.

But no matter how she spun, Ye Wenxin's gaze remained unwavering. After a few minutes, instead of Ye Wenxin getting dizzy, it was Hei Tong who felt woozy, her steps faltering.

With black hair and eyes, and fair skin, Hei Tong looked even more beautiful than before. Stumbling towards Ye Wenxin, she cursed her under her breath.

"Why do you keep staring at that spot?"

"Aren't you just standing there waiting for me?" Ye Wenxin replied, revealing her strength to Hei Tong, who knew her true identity.

Hei Tong looked surprised, wanting to say more, but her unsteady footing led to a stumble on flat ground.

Realizing she was about to fall, Hei Tong tried to flap her wings to regain balance, only to remember she was in human form, rendering her arms ineffective. She toppled forward.

Feeling sorry for Hei Tong, Ye Wenxin caught her, sparing the dignified guardian beast a clumsy fall.

"At least you have some decency," Hei Tong grumbled, using Ye Wenxin's support to steady herself, her hand instinctively reaching for Ye Wenxin's qiankun pouch.
