Part One
Every time the fifth and sixth graders would enter the class and overstep the mark on us and I would fight with them. I was in the third grade and Mrs. Janan, the assistant, would come and take me to her room and give me chocolate and Nestle and keep talking to me until my mood changed because I was getting really annoyed with them. I was overly sensitive.Ms. Janan, all the students loved her and she asked them to call her (Mama Janan). When I returned home, I would tell my mother everything that happened at school and my mother liked Mrs. Janan’s behavior and would say, “What a nice behavior she has,” but I wasn’t convinced to call her Mama Janan because she wasn’t my mother. I was getting annoyed at work because my mother was far away from me. One day, a boy came to the third grade and transferred from another school. The boy’s name was Suhaib. He was very evil, rebellious, and stupid. He had failed the third grade and always overstepped the mark on the students and tore up their notebooks. I always disagreed with him. He was jealous of me and sometimes stole my homework notebook. I would cry because I couldn’t control myself. My nerves and the students started complaining about him and Mrs. Janan would always take Suhaib to the teachers' room. He would stay there for a while and day after day Suhaib changed radically and became wise, clever and committed and started participating with the students in cleaning the classrooms and posting bulletins on the walls and going out in the morning to recite poetry and became a role model and all the students started to love him. Only I hated and even Mrs. Janan hated him because of him. The days passed and I reached the guidance stage (sixth scientific) and I almost forgot about him. The high school I was studying in had two shifts. Morning for girls and evening for boys. One day, a girl in the sixth scientific class caught my attention. When they came out, I would see her. She was pretty, polite and very calm. I liked her. There was peace between us. When she came out at the end of the shift, I would see her and greet her and she would respond to his greeting. One day, I saw her with Suhaib going out and Suhaib waiting for her at the end of the shift. Of course, his behavior had changed radically. I got to know him. After that, the situation was repeated. I would see them. They were going out together one day, I saw her and said to her, "Come to the store, I have something very important to say." We went to the store and I said to her, "I want to warn you about someone, but I don't want you to get upset." She said, "What should I say?" I told her I think it's wrong for you to go out with a boy and walk in the street, you're well-mannered, meaning you're not afraid of your family seeing you. She looked at me and said of course it's wrong, but who do you mean? I told her Suhaib, I saw you walking with him. She said how do you know Suhaib? I told her he was with me in elementary school and he was evil and I don't like him at all. She said Suhaib is evil. I told her yes and maybe he's changed now but anyway: I think your behavior is wrong and this person will cause you problems. She said stop being stubborn, tomorrow I'll ask him to look at me in front of the school gate because I was really upset. I told her you're crazy and I was wrong. I thought you would appreciate the advice and I left her. The next day, honestly, when I went out I saw Suhaib waiting for her in front of the school gate and I think she conveyed my words to him because he looked at me and smiled and he definitely recognized me.
