"Who attacked us?"

"God, I can't move."

Hearing the panic among the couples, Xiao Zhang pulled Ye Wenxin along as they ran off.

"Oh my, it's my first time doing something so mischievous."

"And you know it's mischievous? I'm still a kid," Ye Wenxin retorted, rolling her eyes at Xiao Zhang. Thankfully, it was dark enough that if those disciples discovered their prank, Xiao Zhang could easily escape, but Ye Wenxin would have a harder time.

"But you were throwing more eagerly than me," Xiao Zhang teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief as if her worries had vanished with the thrown paralysis powder.

Ye Wenxin smiled without responding, feeling a sense of satisfaction. She plopped down under a tree, gazing at the bright moon, seeing even Xiao Zhang appear almost unreal.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Xiao Zhang asked, noticing Ye Wenxin's gaze. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with a handkerchief, wanting to leave a perfect impression on Ye Wenxin, but it seemed her efforts were in vain.

She had just wiped her forehead when she saw Ye Wenxin about to use her sleeve. She quickly stopped her.

"You child, don't you have a handkerchief? Using your sleeve looks so unrefined," Xiao Zhang chided, intending to use her handkerchief but remembered she had just used it.

As Ye Wenxin wondered what Xiao Zhang would do, Xiao Zhang lifted her own sleeve to wipe Ye Wenxin's forehead.

"Xiao Zhang, you always say one thing and do another." This gesture was even more intimate than Huang Hanyan's, and she was now sitting on Ye Wenxin's lap.

There was no force, but the position felt dangerous.

"Am I that kind of person?" Xiao Zhang said, enjoying the moment as she carefully wiped Ye Wenxin's forehead and cheeks, her gaze warm.

"You haven't wiped here yet," she said, pointing to another spot, her lips drawing closer until they brushed Ye Wenxin's cheek.

It was quick, and she watched Ye Wenxin's reaction, worried she might have gone too far.

"Xiao Zhang, do you really not want me to turn into Ye Liangchen? It looks like you want to eat me up," Ye Wenxin joked, snapping Xiao Zhang back to reality, her face already flushed from the exercise turning even redder.

"No, this is fine," Xiao Zhang sighed, not lowering her gaze, looking directly at Ye Wenxin.

Ye Wenxin knew this was as far as Xiao Zhang would dare go. Still, she worried, glancing around to ensure Xiao Zhang wasn't about to pull out a Locking Immortal Circle to trap her.

Sensing Ye Wenxin's unease, Xiao Zhang explained her actions.

"Wenxin, I'm really sorry I can't stay with you, but I swear, my heart is yours. That's why I gave you my first kiss."

Ye Wenxin understood the significance of the kiss. Xiao Zhang, with her innocent nature, could only go this far.

"It's okay, I don't blame you. Otherwise, I wouldn't let you go," the conversation returned to sadness, but the preciousness of the kiss dispelled Ye Wenxin's gloom.
