I love reading.

Ever since I was a little kid I have loved books. Going for a hike with a book in my hand was what I did all summer long and during the school year, I would read books on the bus and as soon as I got home. I rarely go anywhere without a book in my hand.

When I discovered Wattpad, I hit the jackpot. Thousands of free books and I can talk directly with the author?! That's a dream!

In order to continue connecting with book lovers and other amazing people, I've started a Twitch Channel. I thought it would be fun to review a Wattpad book every week to support the community and have something fun to talk about.

About me:

I may love books, but I am no English Major. My college degree is in Business... not literature. If you're looking for someone to see the metaphors or hidden meaning that only an English professor would find, that won't be me. You will never hear me use the words "prose" or "rhetoric" or "anachronism". I barely know what those words mean.

What I can offer is my opinion. Did I hate the main character? Did I think the love connection lacked chemistry? Do I think the side character is hilarious? Was the pacing off? Was this the slow burn that made me realize I actually like slow burns?

I have a lot of opinions (both good and bad) every time I read a book. Do you want to know what they are?

Constructive Criticism:

I don't think bashing a book just for the sake of it is fun. All criticism should be constructive. I'm a writer myself and I know a lot of what I write is just... not great. I love it when someone gives me feedback that gives me an idea or helps me get back on the right track. I also like to know what people like about my book, not just because compliments are awesome, but also because I don't want to cut out a character that is destined to be a fan favorite.

Honey Roasted Review:

I call my style of review "Honey Roasted" because I refuse to lie about whether or not I like a book, but I also refuse to be a jerk. So, I will roast your book if it needs roasting, but in a kind way recognizing the hard work and love you put into it. 

*Also if I loved your book I will GO OFF.

No AI:

I don't care if you used AI for your cover (that would count basically all of Wattpad out). But I will not read or review your book if it was clearly written by AI. Why should I bother to read something you didn't even bother to write, you know?

Twitch Novice:

I have never played a video game in my life. I barely know what Twitch is. I don't think I'll get a lot of followers so don't expect your book to blow up because 4 people saw me talking about it on my channel. If you can't catch my stream live (Fridays, 12:00-2:00 PM PST), I think the videos save on my channel automatically for a week. If I get the hang of things and can save a clip of the part where I was talking about your book, I will totally do that and send you a link to watch.
