"RUN RUN RUN" that's what the boys basketball team was cheering when two girls wearing a school uniform ran across the halls of St Theresa's Catholic high school. One of them had a camera in her hand and the other was holding some sort of book like a diary. The annoying Peon was completely standing still and shouting when the girls were running.
Peon - Principal Sir! They're getting away, Where's the security??.
Two security officers rushed to the second floor of the building where the girls were. They were chasing them down to a dead end.
Naina - What do we do da? There's no other route, forefit?
Gayathri - Naina! No. We made it so far with this evidence. WE ARE NOT GIVING UP. END OF STORY.
Naina - Ok fine. But what do we do??? There's only a balcony ahead no stairs.
Gayathri - Jump!
Naina - WHAT?
Gayathri - do you trust me?
Naina - OK OK ON THE COUNT OF THREE.
Gayathri - One
Naina - Two
Gayathri - Three
Naina and Gayathri - JUMP!
The two girls leaped from the building landing on their feet. Ironic? No they've been part of the long jump race six years in a row during sports day before, so it wasn't a big height for them. As they landed perfectly, the St Theresa girls were in awe of their boldness but mostly they were too curious so they started questioning them. The girls ignored them and ran across the field until they FINALLY got to the entrance of the school.
Naina - YES
Gayathri - Don't stop yet they'll catch us if we don't leave now.
The girls ran more and more until they reached old market street. The truth is they've been running for the past 29 minutes and 46 seconds with a break of approximately 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Why you ask? No reason. Just that they've been investigating a bribing case. And by they I mean mostly Gayathri. Sorry PI (Private investigator) Gayathri Menon. She has her own agency, with just her. But still any work you give her, it gets done without anything left. She digs until there's nothing left, she's overqualified but mostly that's because she's always been two steps ahead. She's solved three major cases until now, this being her fourth. But for this one she needed a second hand, her best friend Naina Batra. They've known eachother since they were 5 because their neighbours. It's pretty ironic that their best friends because Naina is the popular, artistic and friendly type of person whereas Gayathri has always been mysterious, secretive and not that involved with her social life at school. Even though both of them were extremely different they enjoyed each others company a lot and just got along together. They understood eachother more than anyone else in this whole world. Their families set high expectations for them which they had to achieve. It was kind of a requirement as a desi kid but with them they never judged each other's actions and decisions and just trusted eachother.
Naina - let's get an auto and leave now. I can't physically or mentally run farther than this spot.
Gayathri - (Nods her head while looking at the footage of her camera)
Naina - Bhaiyaa please Ruko !
They both get on the auto and go home through the busy Delhi traffic.
