The crowd was filled with envy and admiration, while the advanced examiner was at a loss for words to express his awe. At this moment, Ye Wenxin had transcended their expectations, her prowess akin to that of an alchemical master. Yet, in such a humble setting, only an advanced alchemist’s token could be issued. The examiner reluctantly retrieved a beautifully crafted token from an ornate box.
The token, predominantly gold with intricate designs, felt substantial in Ye Wenxin’s hand, suggesting it was made of pure gold—a testament to its opulence.
"Please drip a drop of your blood onto the token to complete the verification," the advanced examiner instructed. Ye Wenxin hesitated briefly, then obediently drew a knife and made a small cut on her finger.
As her blood touched the token, it seemed to absorb it swiftly. To Ye Wenxin's surprise, the golden token turned silver before her eyes.
"Miss Ye, don’t worry. The token’s value hasn’t changed. When held by its owner, it will appear gold. In another’s hands, it turns silver, preventing counterfeit tokens," the examiner explained, enlightening Ye Wenxin on its function.
"Besides being a status symbol, does the token have other uses?" Ye Wenxin inquired, watching the token shift back to gold in her hand, then silver in Luo Miaoyi’s playful grasp.
"It has many uses: discounts at apothecaries, auctions, and merchant transactions. The higher the token's rank, the better the benefits," the examiner elaborated, highlighting its advantages over a basic token.
"That’s convenient. Thank you for explaining," Ye Wenxin replied, pleased. She pocketed the token, then remembered something, leaning in to whisper, "By the way, I have various pills. Can I sell them through the Alchemy Association?"
The examiner’s eyes narrowed with interest. "Of course. What kind of pills do you wish to sell?"
Ye Wenxin considered revealing her pills but hesitated, fearing the commotion they might cause. "Could we discuss this privately?"
Intrigued by her secretive demeanor, the examiner gestured her into a reception room.
"Senior Sister, isn’t it a waste to make Miss Ye a cauldron if she’s an advanced alchemist?" Luo Miaoyi seized the moment to negotiate with her Senior Sister, Qian Bingxue.
Ling Jue sat nearby, eyes closed, unconcerned about Qian Bingxue taking Ye Wenxin away after the assessment.
With the advanced alchemist token, Ye Wenxin was now linked to the Alchemy Association. Should Asura Hall harbor ill intentions, they would face not only Ling Jue's Yaowang Valley or Ye Wenxin's Cangyu Sect but also the powerful Alchemy Association. The implications were significant.
Though Qian Bingxue could destroy Ye Wenxin or Ling Jue, the trouble wouldn’t be worth it.
"I'm just taking her to meet the Master," Qian Bingxue assured, aware of the status shift’s impact. She never intended to trouble Ye Wenxin but wanted her unique physique examined by the Master. If not for that, she would have taken Ye Wenxin without delay.
Now, with Ye Wenxin’s elevated status, she faced no danger at Asura Hall. Qian Bingxue could even leverage this for future connections.
"But if we go, what about Mr. Ling? Asura Hall doesn't host men," Luo Miaoyi worried, relieved Ye Wenxin wouldn’t be a cauldron but concerned about leaving Ling Jue behind.
