Author's Note:

Cross posted from AO3. This is my take on what Season 3 should have been and is also an attempt to fix what I wasn't a fan of in the series (a lot of what happened in Season 2 basically).

Not all situations that arose from the final episode of Season 2 are addressed in this first part.

I owe the writing style of splitting between characters to the author of the official books Sarah Rees Brennan, who also goes under the pen name of Ava Corrigan. (The books are actually really good, I would recommend the read, especially if you want a slightly shorter adventure)

However, the situations in this work are mine mixed with what Netflix left.

As usual, errors are mine.

Sky

The moment Bloom had walked into the swirling foreboding portal to The Realm of Darkness, swiftly closing as she entered, Sky knew everything was wrong. Where Bloom had been a few seconds ago now felt like an icy void that sucked away the very soul of himself.

Sky only felt negative, all sadness, anger and a deep seeded need for vengeance as tears fell from his eyes, the good in him ripped from his chest like the dagger he had pierced through his own father's heart several months prior.

His fairy was gone. Everything good in Sky left with her.

Aisha

A headache and sore muscles greeted the Winx Suite water fairy from where she woke tucked in under a deep blue woollen blanket in the corner of the couch. Sunlight from the sunroom window peaked streamed through the white silken curtain. It has been Stella's choice to hang them, after a compromise from Musa who had wanted heavy black curtains to block the light. Aisha agreed with the idea for once, her transformation from the previous night draining her energy.

Maybe her swimming twice a day could be relaxed for just one day. Fairies don't always transform after all.

But she needed a cuppa, stronger than the usual tea she would start her day with. Flora would always offer her coffee for the girls, Bloom and Musa always eager, Stella graciously (but Aisha assumed grateful as well), with Terra declining and brewing her own blend. Aisha always said no. Flora's coffee was a cure she hadn't tried after copious amounts of junk food and ice packs had not worked.

Stumbling into the kitchen through the frosted double doors, the green-grey walls greeted her as she padded to the marble bench on instinct. Flicking on the electric kettle, the blue ring light emitted right away, Aisha felt her arm raise to the height of the cupboard above when she noticed a stack of envelopes propped up against the coffee and tea jars; the first envelope had the name "Stella" written in the ornate writing of their beloved friend.

Quickly shifting through the five envelopes, Aisha found her name on the third, pulling in out and ripping the letter out. Her eyes had scanned the hastily written letter, some places had ink running or smudged and large teardrops had fallen, staining the pages.

Her strides were short but hurried, the kitchen door bursting open as she entered the sitting room beside the living area of the suite. Her entry had woken the remaining young women in the suite, Musa's eyes purple for a moment before settling. A look if concern and sadness appeared as Aisha spoke.

"She's gone." Her mouth went dry, her stomach and heart had risen to her throat. Aisha had never felt this urge to cry since she was a child. Numbly, the stack of envelopes was passed around, starting at Stella and ending with Terra.

Terra had made her way to Aisha while reading her letter, when finishing had searched the face of Bloom's roommate and best friend her permission before encircling the athlete with her sturdy arms. Stella, with tears streaming down her face from a broken heart over the death of Beatrix, jumped from the couch she sat on and stood behind Aisha, leaning on her as she circled herself around Aisha and Terra equally. Musa and Flora were on Stella's heels, copying her actions.
