It was only after the party when I noticed the lack of Stella's presence. "Where could she possibly have gone?" I think to myself as I start my search for my twin sister.

Our house isn't large, the perfect size for a family of four so there weren't many places to hide. My footsteps echo in the hallway, giving the house an eerie feel. Just minutes ago we were celebrating our eighteenth birthday with our friends, happily chatting with one another and enjoying the sunny April day.

My hand rests on the doorknob to Stella's bedroom, I had checked every other room in the house. For a reason I cannot explain I hesitated, my hands slightly trembled and I felt a bead of sweat run down my forehead. There was a feeling of unease coursing through me, although I hadn't known why. Finally, I pushed the door open. As it creaked open my gaze turned to the bloodstained floor on which lay the motionless body of my twin sister.

I felt my breath hitch in my throat. "Stella...?" I manage to spit her name out as I glance down to her face, pale, almost porcelain white. Her eyes, wide open with a petrified look in them. Only then I noticed the stab wounds on her body, she bled out. I could hear the party music still playing in the background. I kneel down to her, I reach my shaky hand out to touch her. Cold... Stella's skin... cold as ice.

But who would commit such an act? Was it one of our friends...? It can't be... or could it? Did somebody break into the house while we weren't paying attention? And it definitely wasn't suicide.

The questions made me feel dizzy, but for sure I knew one thing. I'll find the killer and I'll get my revenge...
