The prank was over, and the group was finally getting back to their usual routine. The tension in Stark Tower had lifted, and everyone had returned to their daily lives. The Avengers went back to their respective missions, while the Dynamic Six, consisting of Peter, Morgan, Harley, MJ, Ned, and Wade, returned to their college life, their usual hangouts, and the occasional chaos that always seemed to follow them.
But as the day went on, the calm atmosphere in the tower took a sudden turn.
---
MJ was in the kitchen, preparing a light snack. It had been a long day of studying and laughing with the group, and now she just needed something to eat to recharge. But as she reached for a glass of water, she suddenly felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. She paused for a moment, gripping the counter to steady herself.
Her vision blurred for a second, and her stomach twisted uncomfortably. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the feeling, but it only seemed to get worse. She quickly put the glass down, attempting to make her way to the living room where Peter was, hoping he could help her figure out what was going on.
But as soon as she took a few steps, the dizziness grew stronger, and before she knew it, her legs gave out beneath her. She felt herself falling, but just before she hit the floor, strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her close.
Peter's Spidey senses had kicked in the moment he saw her sway. Without thinking, he rushed over to catch her just in time.
"MJ!" Peter's voice cracked as he held her unconscious body against him. "No, no, no, MJ!" His heart raced as he looked down at her, panic rising in his chest.
He carefully cradled her in his arms, moving quickly to their shared room. His mind was spinning with worry, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. What was happening to her? Why was she unconscious?
"F.R.I.D.A.Y," Peter called out urgently, his voice shaking. "Call Bruce. I need him in my room, now!"
Within seconds, F.R.I.D.A.Y's calm voice echoed in the room. "Calling Dr. Bruce Banner, Peter."
Peter sat beside the bed, gently placing MJ down as he anxiously waited for Bruce to arrive. His mind raced, trying to piece together what had happened. Was it stress? Was it the prank? But nothing made sense.
---
When Bruce arrived, he quickly assessed the situation. He checked MJ's vitals and gently examined her, all while Peter hovered by her side, desperate for any answers.
After a few minutes, Bruce's expression shifted to one of surprise. He glanced at Peter, then back at MJ, before speaking in a tone that was much more serious than Peter had ever heard from him.
"Peter," Bruce began, his voice cautious, "I've checked her over. MJ is-she's pregnant."
Peter's heart skipped a beat. His breath caught in his throat. "W-What? Are you sure?"
Bruce nodded, still looking at MJ in disbelief. "I'm afraid so. She's in the early stages, but... she's definitely pregnant."
Peter's mind went blank. He stared at MJ's unconscious form, his heart racing. This wasn't supposed to be happening. After everything they had been through, after all the pranks, how could this... how could this be real?
"No, no, no, this can't be true," Peter muttered under his breath, shaking his head in disbelief.
Bruce's face softened, his expression full of sympathy. "I know this is a shock, Peter. But I'm certain. You need to be there when she wakes up."
Peter swallowed hard, feeling a mix of emotions flood through him-confusion, fear, excitement, and disbelief all rolled into one.
"Uncle Bruce..." Peter finally whispered, his voice barely above a whisper. "What do I do? How do I tell her? How do I... how do we handle this?"
Bruce put a hand on Peter's shoulder, offering the only comfort he could. "Take it one step at a time, Peter. You and MJ are strong. You'll figure it out together. But for now, just focus on getting her the rest she needs."
Peter nodded, though his mind was still racing. He reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from MJ's face as she stirred slightly in her sleep.
---
As Bruce left the room to give them privacy, Peter took a deep breath. He couldn't believe it. MJ was pregnant. For real. It was happening.
His mind kept repeating the word pregnant-it was too much to process. But as he sat beside MJ, holding her hand, he knew one thing for sure: He was going to be there for her. No matter what happened, he was going to be by her side, ready to face whatever this new chapter in their lives brought.
And with that thought, Peter's heart began to steady. He wasn't alone in this. They weren't alone. They had each other.
---
Meanwhile, outside the room, Morgan and Harley had caught wind of what had happened. They were standing outside the door, waiting for news. Harley leaned against the wall, a concerned look on his face.
"I can't believe it," Harley said quietly. "MJ's really pregnant?"
Morgan nodded. "Yeah. I think Peter's freaking out, but... this is big. We're gonna have to help him through this. He's gonna need all of us."
Harley sighed, his own nerves showing. "I just hope MJ's okay. And that Peter... he's gonna be a great dad, but this is a lot."
Morgan reached over, patting Harley's shoulder. "We've got their backs. We're family. We'll help them figure this out."
Harley smiled weakly, but there was a lot of uncertainty in his eyes. "Yeah, we will. I just... I didn't expect this."
Inside the room, Peter gently squeezed MJ's hand, determined to face this unexpected news with the same strength he had faced everything else in his life. He wasn't ready for this, but he would be. Because when it came to MJ, he would always be ready to fight for their future.
