Net had to go off after lunch as he had a meeting with his director. I was done for the day so was just chilling in the cafeteria, setting up the remaining of my phone. Luckily I had my contacts and messages all saved on the cloud so I managed to download everything down.

My hands hovered over Kyunn's number but I finally took the plunge and blocked her. Next my fingers hovered over Net's number. I decided to text him after much deliberation; asking him on what time he ended work and that I would pick him up and perhaps we could do dinner together if time permitted.

Net replied about 20 minutes later, saying he was set to end around 7pm and that dinner would be great. But he did say I didn't have to wait to pick him up but I didn't give him a pass on it. He has done so much for me and this seemed so insignificant in comparison.

I decided to go home, showered, changed and came back to the studio around 6.50pm. Promptly at 7pm, Net left the studio, breaking into a cheeky grin when he saw me. I waved at him, offering to take his bag but he glared at me in response. I chuckled as I nodded apologetically and scooted to my driver's side.

"What do you want to eat?"

"I had seen this new Italian restaurant the other day when I was out with my colleagues. Shall we try that?"

"Sounds good, Net. Do you know the address? Put it in the system?"

Net nodded, just putting it in the GPS for me. I hummed softly as I took off, expertly weaving in and out of the heavy traffic.

Net just checked his messages and cleared some emails enroute so it was a quiet ride. Quiet but comfortable. We finally reached about 15 minutes later.

"P! That was quick!"

"They don't call me an F1 driver for no reason, you know."

"Who's they P?"

"They. The general public."

I quibbed cheekily, just casting my hand carelessly. Net rolled his eyes at me and smacked me lightly on my arms! I laughed as we got out. Just as we got to the entrance, we bumped into Kyunn. Bumped would be a wrong word, more like she was waiting for us. How the fuck....

I gripped my fists tightly but Net just patted me softly, shaking his head. I just groaned inwardly but my facial expression was enough to give it away.

"Are you going to listen to me or not? Did you really think by blocking me, it will keep me away?!"

"How are you even here?! Are you following me Kyunn??"

"Jes. What matters is why are you not giving me a chance? So my marriage is on the rocks. I'm not happy with him and want to come back to you. Why can't I?"

"Then what happens if you are not happy with me one day? You going to leave me for him or someone else? What do I look like to you? A spare?"

"Look. It's not like that baby. I wouldn't leave you ever again. Promise."

Kyunn tried to come closer to me and hold onto my hand but before she could even touch me, Net pulled me away! I looked over at him stunned but he looked hopping mad!

"What do you think you are doing?" Net's voice was soft but firm.

"What do you think you are doing? This is between me and Jes. Hes my boyfriend." Kyunn retaliated.

Net cocked his head, looking at her quizically. "I hate to be rude, but are you dumb or what? Make that ex-girlfriend whom he blocked. He has made it so clear. What more do you want? Plus, if he's really someone you love, you wouldn't have cheated on him in the first place!" Net snapped at her angrily.

I was frankly stunned by his quiet simmering anger which was starting to boil over.

"Net.. Net.." I called out softly to him, tugging at his wrist. He snapped back to reality, turning to look at me, his eyes softening.

"Sorry P. I....I."

"Don't apologise. I'm not angry at you. I just don't want you wasting your energy on her. I know you wanted to eat here but let's eat here another day ok? Let's go somewhere else."

Net nodded. I turned to Kyunn.

"If you follow me one more time, trust me I will call the cops on you. Don't make me do it Kyunn."

I snapped, having lost all patience with her. I brought Net away with me and drove off, before I lost my shit on her or worse, seeing Net lose it.

For a guy who seemed so chill and laid back, he sure had a fiery temper.

But a very caring and protective personality beneath it and I was starting to notice it more and more.
