Right next to her sister's lifeless body lay a golden necklace. She picked it up and examined it. It was a beautiful golden chain with a small gold 'S' charm in the middle. Tears came to her eyes when she remembered all the good times she and her sister had shared, like laughing over the silly kids at her school and talking about all the cute boys they'd see around. But now her sister is gone, and she would find and kill who did it.

That's when she heard someone walk in behind her, "Star."

She quickly spun around, and everything went black.

Her room didn't look the same when she awoke. Instead of her normally large and circular room, she lay on a sleeping bag in a small, boxy room. The walls were a blinding white color that she had despised the second she saw it.

"Honey! Wake up! We need to start unpacking!!"

"Coming Mom!!"

She unzipped the sleeping bag and examined the rest of the room.

The bright white walls showed no sign or a previous owner, if there had been any posters or pictures hung up before it didn't show. But she knew from her many years of stage crew that it was easy to hide centuries of secrets under a few layers of paint.

The floor was made out of oak and also showed no hint of who its previous owners had been.

How did I even get here? I'm assuming we moved, but why don't I remember moving?!

She noticed a couple boxes sitting in the furthest container of the room. She stumbled over to the boxes and looked to see if she had labeled them.

Oh good! This one says clothes.

She opened it up to see a bunch of lace camisoles and skirts.

Dressing for warm weather. I see.

She pulled on a black, laced cami and a bright pink schoolgirl skirt. She fashioned her dark brown hair into a messy bun and ran through another blindingly white hallway.

"Starlet hurry up!!"

"I'm Coming mama!" she called back as she rushed down a spiraling staircase that she hoped led to her mama.

The stairs dumped her right out into the living room, which was filled with tons of bright colors and patterns. The rest of the house was painted many different colors. Here Starlet could see the house had obviously belonged to an artist. The walls where covered in murals. Some had people and other had many different shapes. She walked to the dining room where on the accent walls she saw a large map of Mexico.

Her mama passed by the dining room and saw her, "here's your phone baby, you left it down here last night. Leo was texting you this morning."

"Of course he was, thanks mama." she kissed her mom on the cheek.

Her mother had wavy blonde hair and light blue eyes, none of which starlet had inherited.

"Baby take the rest of the books upstairs and then we'll get your furniture set up."

"Okay-" she hesitated. Would her mom think she was crazy if she couldn't remember anything?

"Whats wrong baby?"

"Nothin' mama. I'll get right to it."

The stairs swirled right down into the living room where tons of boxes labeled books  sat. she began to carry them up the spiral staircase in pairs.

Once she was done she sat on her sleeping bag and opened her phone to see a couple text messages from Leo, one of her closest friends.

Where are you?!

Why aren't you at school?!

Are you sick?!!!

...Guess who just came to me to check up on u?!

Y DIDN'T YOU TELL ME U WERE MoViNg?!!!!!

Now it all came back to Starlet.
