41| Magic lessons with Inez

"I'm a witch."

Alice breathed out a smile creeping across her face, for some reason this too made Inez smile. Inez or Valentina was not a big smiler, unless you count sly grins, which most people didn't.

"Oh god. I don't know anything about being a witch."

Alice then began to panic yet again, pacing back and forth, until Inez stopped her.

"But I do."

Inez told Alice putting her hands on Alice's shoulders again,

"Will you teach me?"

Alice asked Inez, she didn't know if she was a good teacher or not but she wasn't going to know if she didn't try.

"I can try. But first we need to figure out what kind of witch you are."

Inez told her friend, she had immediately thought green magic given the glowing green eyes but it wasn't quite the same colour green as the other green witch powers she'd seen.

"Ooh what type of witch are you?"

Alice asked which caused Inez to freeze as she tried to figure out what to tell Alice.

"Inez? Hello, you in there?"

Alice asked as she waved her hand in front of Inez's face, the girl appearing to unfreeze.

"Huh? What was the question again?"

Inez said which caused Alice to laugh, while Inez was quite concerned that she couldn't move for a hot second there.

"I asked what kind of witch are you?"

Alice asked Inez, who while frozen had come up with a hopefully satisfactory answer.

"I'm a special kind. Please don't press any further it's quite hard to explain."

Inez told Alice, who nodded, Inez letting out a sigh of relief, Inez really didn't know what to do if she pressed.

"How about we start with something simple like making a ball of magic?"

Inez told Alice the girl rather rapidly nodding a smile on both of their faces.

"Mama, we're hungry."

Inez told Agnes as she and Alice came downstairs, Agnes was already in the kitchen, she appeared to be getting ready to make something, no one was sure what thought.

"Well what would you girls like?"

Agnes asked, as the girls came into view, Alice's eyes glowing green as she got glimpses of Agnes using her powers. Alice had no clue how she'd done that it just happened, she didn't mean to invade Agnes's memory like that.

"You're a witch, too."

Alice simply told Agnes whose eyes widened, how did the girl just figure it out, she knew she hadn't read her mind, that was impossible, just like it was impossible to read her daughter's mind.

"How did you..."

Agnes cut herself off, looking over at her daughter who just shrugged she hadn't told the other little girl. Inez thought it was so funny that the little girl had immediately clocked her mother was a witch.

"I saw flashes. I don't know how to explain it but I saw flashes memories almost of you using your powers. They're purple aren't they?"

Alice asked Agnes, whose eyes widened further, Inez's eyes also widened, this was definitely a new one for them. They both knew it was impossible for anyone to read their minds many had tried and hurt themselves doing so but reading memories that was a new one.
